I’m pretty sure we have all the tech required to make Duel Monsters as depicted in Season 1 of Yu-Gi-Oh
so why aren’t we doing it
A working duel disk could be made with NFC yiguoh cards and NFC readers. All smart phones have NFC readers so you could probably produce the entire duel disk for under $1000.
Paper NFC cards can cost as low as 80 cents per cards so we would probably be looking at $7 to $15 for a 5 to 7 card booster packs.
Connect the Duel Disk to one of those Holograms we used to bring Tupac back at Coachella and we are done.
Honestly all we need is someone who is the right mix of irresponsible and rich to bring the tech together.
