This just occured to me

Hokuto got carded/died but didn’t
He was carded/killed but wasn’t by Serena
Serena is from fusion
Fusion is (presumably) GX land
In GX (in the dub at least) during season 3 when the characters were “killed” they were “sent to the stars”
Hokuto is star boy
