The One With the Psycho Kill–er, Shocker
A group of three students manage to summon the spirit of “Psycho Shocker,” who attempts to gather souls for his own resurrection as Duel Academia’s winter break is underway. One seeks Judai and Professor Daitokuji’s help, but…
Here it is! Sorry to keep you guys waiting, lol. This episode was good to revisit; it’s Judai’s first “experience” with a Game of Darkness, and it also happens at another spot that becomes important in Season 3.
Did a few edits in this episode–listed below the cut chronologically–some through the awesome Jedi Edit Tricks™ of the people mentioned. Enjoy, guys; I’ll begin work on 15 over the next few days!
EDITS!
- @akameniseis a) recolored some students’ jackets behind Takadera as he runs away from Psycho Shocker, and b) recolored part of Judai’s pupil white in a quick frame as he first draws that was black for no reason.
- @yuzulost/aahes redrew Burstlady’s shoulder in a few frames (as Judai fuses her with Clayman) to add her oft-forgotten shoulder strap back, based on the fix done by @se-to-oh a while back, touched up just a bit by @akameniseis.
- When Judai Clay-Wraps Clayman the second time and he split-screens in, as he does, Clayman’s regular body suddenly turns 90% clear and whooshes with the background–in one frame. I masked regular Clayman over it and masked Judai splitting in back into the shot on top of him, and reversed the whooshing background on the top of the frame to paste it behind Clayman on the bottom.
- Judai’s swinging body as he summons Mudballman is a few rows-of-pixels short towards the bottom of the frame; I masked some of him down to cover the missing pixels up, tweaked a bit to blend well.
- As I was finalizing the encode, I noticed there was another time the black-pupil error happens with Judai: when he wakes up after the duel, turning to look at Shou and co. Quickly fixed it by masking over the needed part from the left pupil and adjusting it a bit.
- In the preview for 15, I added Mega Thunderball’s Level to the cards as Ayanokouji swings his hand around; it was good reacquainting myself with Vegas’s Track Motion tool!
after trying and failing in after-effects I’ll be trying to do it in the episode proper, too.
Phew! Again, many thanks to these two for lending a few hands. :)
