dumb-and-dumblr

For those who might want to actually start watching GX, but who don’t want to slog blindly through 180 episodes, I made a guide of relevant episodes for a friend that I figured Tumblr might appreciate, too.

Disclaimer: I do still encourage that you watch the whole thing if you plan to get into it regardless, but if it’s not feasible, this at least helps point out the episodes that are required watching for plot and such, recommended-though-not-strictly-essential episodes, and flat-out filler that can be safely skipped with no real consequence.

Accurate, but I’ll add for 13-15 that 13 also happens at the cliff where O'Brien is introduced in Season 3, 14 happens at the Power Generator Complex that gets to be important in S3 since it’s where Zweinstein contacts Misawa and co in the other dimension, and 15 happens in the Tennis Courts, which is where Johan VS Ryou happens to send Rainbow Dragon over.  I’d say 16 also lends more to how prideful Chronos is about Obelisk Blue, and if you watch 73, it’d be good to watch 17 for the Drawbread concept since there’s a scene involving it (which got cut out in the dub idky).  38’s good for one thing, in that it shows how much Shou cares for Judai by the end (might be a little weird, but hey).

Re:66, let’s not forget MANJOUME ACTING LIKE A MONKEY FOR A FEW SECONDS.

Re:81: Judai messing up on Gagagigo = so worth it

But yeah, watching 90%+ of GX before Season 3 and getting a good feel for everyone will make it a lot more worth watching.  ALSO THE FEELS
