    #you wanna know why#why yami stepped forward like#because yeah they usually change during duels anyway bUT#at this point though unseen#yuugi was kind of having a bsod#i mean his grandfather had just fucking died#the WHOLE city of domino had been destroyed#not just that one area#meaning ALL OF HIS FRIENDS HAD DIED TOO#AND YUUGI WAS THE ONLY SURVIVOR#HE WAS FREAKING OUT#he was able to keep a calm stance when Yusei and Jaden arrive to save the day#but by the time they’re confronting paradox you can see Yuugi is clearly distressed#and Yami obviously notices too so he tells Yuugi that it’ll be okay#that he can handle things#and Yuugi is silent for just a few seconds because they’ve always fought together#regardless of who was in charge of their body#but Yami knows Yuugi is not well so he assures him he can do it alone#and Yuugi lets him#and this is why Yuugi is not seen for the rest of the freaking movie#not even as a specter or even his voice like it usually always was#BECAUSE HE WAS HAVING A FUCKING BREAK DOWN DFSBDJGNDFG
