The Duel Academia—set on a remote island in the Pacific—is the place for aspiring young duelists aiming to be the next King of Games. Founded by Seto Kaiba, naturally only the brightest and best duelists are given the right to attend. However, not all strength comes from discipline alone.

Judai Yuki, an ambitious and spirited youth, dreams of nothing more than to inherit Yugi Mutou’s title. As fate would have it, Judai runs into the King of Games on his way to the Academia entrance exams. Sensing his spirit as a duelist, Yugi presents Judai with a lucky card: Winged Kuriboh.

Even then, what lays ahead for Judai is trial after trial, as already being late and scoring low on his written exam puts him instantly on the radar of Professor Chronos de Medici—the Academia’s Chief General Director of Practial Application. As such, Chronos does not fancy Judai from the start, and acts as the first obstacle to be overcame. Prepare yourself, won’t you?
