okay but i’m actually really excited about himika though like

not just the fact that she’s the parent of a rival character that’s alive and active in their child’s life in some fashion, which is rare enough in ygo anyway, but she’s in a huge position of power here, on equal standing or superior to her son, sharing the position of ceo with him and everything and she’s being awesome and badass so far with ulterior motives and everything

with LDS shaping itself to be a huge antagonist force, at least for the first arc of this show, and possibly the enemy of the protag’s father as well, Himika’s being set up as like. the first huge female antag I can remember existing in ygo in my memory and this is huge. this isn’t a character that’s going to be written off so easily i hope, considering the importance she’s being set up directly to the rival so this isn’t just a smallfry antagonist, i don’t think. she could really well be like the first major antagonist and the endboss of this arc/first half of the show and this is huge i mean a female endboss

this is really big and oh my god she’s showing to be really awesome so far and arc-v better not fuck this up okay this is important this is really important
