To Marvelous Entertainment: Release Yu-Gi-Oh! GX and 5D's' Unreleased Music Yo guys, just wanted to repost this link in a newer post (thanks to everyone who reblogged my original post and follow-up for it) so more people would be aware of this petition.
As most GX and 5D’s fans know, a lot of music from the Japanese versions of those shows went unreleased, despite two (for GX; 3 for 5D’s, two of which were 2-CD releases) Sound Duel soundtracks, and they were a lot of the good ones. In GX’s case, there was an incredibly huge delay with Sound Duel 2’s release, and in that time, we basically got two CDs’ worth of new music during the Seven Stars/Shadow Riders arc and Season 2 (notably A Powerful Threat, All-Out Duel, Reconciliation, Camula’s Theme, Saiou’s Theme, Standstill, Enjoying the Duel and a few here), as well as Season 3 (notably A Strong Force, Johan’s Theme and his Gem Beasts’ Theme); none of the new tracks during the former were released, and most of the Season 3 songs were released with tracks from Season 4 on Sound Duel 2 when it did come out. Also of note: Sound Duel 2’s only TV-Size OP/EN were Precious Time and Endless Dream (while 5D’s had all of its TV-size OP/ENs released). I’d say that leaves 60% or so of GX’s soundtrack unreleased.
With 5D’s, while maybe 80% of the soundtrack was released, there were 10-15 tracks during the Fortune Cup/Dark Signers arcs that weren’t released yet they were used during memorable moments (among them JACK Battle 2, Yusei’s original battle theme, Hopeless Battle, and Lamentation), and the WRGP/Ark Cradle arc saw another 15 or so go unreleased (like this remixed Speed World, Sherry Battle, and Tactics). A smaller pool of unreleased stuff compared to GX, but it still would be nice to have them in perfect quality.
Sure, ripping the tracks is a solution, but unfortunately, it can be hard to keep a lot of what defines the tracks intact, and it wouldn’t be the same as listening to it during an episode (example here).

The goal’s set at the default 1000 on the site, but I suppose more realistically, getting 200 might be a good start (right?). Now, this is the YGO fandom, and I know there are a bunch of GX/5D’s fans who liked/loved the series and a lot of the music that didn’t get released. There were also a lot of ZeXal fans out there who were pleasantly surprised when an unexpected Sound Duel 5 was announced, made thanks to fan outcry:

Lance's Comparisons | Comparing the English Dub to the Japanese Version (So You Don't Have To) So my old 110mb GX/5D’s comparison site is being reincarnated! Slowly.
I signed up on Bluehost to pay $3.50-ish/month for it, and it’s being powered by Wordpress. I’ll be spending some time getting the hang of it as I copy over the html from my old site’s pages and then reformat things, so hang tight. As of now, I have 5D’s’ Season and OP/EN pages up and linked to each other (though I didn’t save the more recent copy of the OP/EN page so I’ll have to add to it), and 5D’s 1′s comparison is the only one actually up for now. I’ll slowly add the rest this week.

Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters GX Episode 8 - Finalized | cloudy.ec Videos The One With the DragonsHere’s episode 8, all up and finalized for ya! One of my favorites, too. Judai duels Ryou to find out what happened between him and Shou, and Shou learns something from it.
I did some minor editing in here, adding some quick lip-flaps to Judai’s “Partner!” when Winged Kuriboh shows up as he draws it and Evolutionary Wings, since he’s saying it out loud. I also wanted to tackle the erroneously placed Mudballman on his Disk that should’ve been Bubbleman, but Vegas wouldn’t let me position the card low enough to cover it. I’ll try again elsewhere, but I did want to at least put this up lol. Funny enough, the dub didn’t catch it either, but they dubified the card with some other Fusion Monster (that looked like one of the V-Z fusions, at that). If I do get to fix it, I’ll have the fix in the hardsub on NAC.

Sunshine - A Soaring Hallelujah - GX Season 1 OP 1 (Finalized!Subbed)
Here’s Sunshine/”Kaisei Joushou Hallelujah” as you’ll see it in my finalized Season 1 episodes. I thought I’d try something new and tweak the font style a bit for the lyrics there, slightly inspired by Horoko’s TnKP subs for 5D’s, and make the whole thing look a bit sleeker (which I’ll also go back and do for the other OPs/ENs as I work my way back up). I’ll be tweaking the font style in the episodes a bit too; should be a good way to tell my finalized episodes apart from my older subs if you’re surfing the web. :P Also used the translations I used for that fandub a while back (which I admit isn’t the best lol) to update my lyric translations there.

So it was GX’s 10th Anniversary this week (10/6), and I figured I should finally getting around to reuploading this AMV I made ages ago as a tribute to GX. The song’s a self-cover of “Shuffle” (DM OP 2) by Okui Masami, and I made this during my “make a GX AMV out of DM songs” phase way back (a project I still want to get back to lol; I’m up to Rakuen!). Of course, a lot’s changed since then; I have better-quality raws and working knowledge of Vegas, so as a result, expect this thing to get remade in the near future with more stuff I couldn’t throw in because I didn’t have the episodes at the time (like Fubuki VS Fujiwara or Kenzan meeting Judai, etc). Enjoy, folks!
Also, in other GX stuff, in case you haven’t seen it, I started up a petition to convince Marvelous Entertainment (the guys who released GX’s measly two soundtracks) to release another Sound Duel to cover GX’s unreleased music, as well as one to cover 5D’s’ missing stuff. We’re only up to 40 sigs, though, so if you haven’t signed it, and you love GX and 5D’s and the music that made them as much as we all do, please do so here if you can! The goal’s to eventually forward it to them, and see if we can get this done (since fan outcry was one of the forces that got ZeXal a Sound Duel 5), so any boost would help (here’s the Tumblr post for it if you’re wanting to signal boost it).
