i joined the xkit discord server and what i’m gathering is that some blogs (mine included RIP) were randomly selected to test out this ugly new version (non-optional unfortunately), and currently xkit isn’t compatible with the new system, but they’re working to fix it.

someone in the server messaged tumblr support and they responded with:
