I’ve changed my avatar in preparation for the day of action to save net neutrality.

Net neutrality is really important. Basically, right now, the internet is treated as a utility, like water and gas. Everybody’s rates are the same, and nobody can pay more for faster or better service.

This may be about to change.

The FCC and Chairman Ajit Pai want to reclassify the internet to make it just like phone and cable services, i.e., companies charging exorbitant prices for shoddy services and charging even more if you want faster service.

If net neutrality fails, ISPs can slow down or even block websites completely, which would stifle and kill the innovation, creativity, and free expression the internet has allowed us to have. Without net neutrality, the internet will be just like cable TV: the content you see is only what the provider puts in front of you.

That means if they don’t like your startup website or the website you made for your new company, they can charge you exorbitant fees, which they then pass down to consumers, for allowing your website to even exist.

That means that if they don’t like anything the Resistance does (and they wouldn’t like most of it; Comcast and Verizon are multimillion dollar donors to the GOP), they can block these websites. Your efforts at resisting the Trump administration will be suppressed.

If you are poor, or live in a rural area, you won’t be able to afford the exorbitant rates ISPs would charge for even basic internet access. This is designed specifically to target the poor and POC.

BUT ON JULY 12TH, WE’RE FIGHTING BACK.

Hi, everyone!!
Because of the airdates of VRains, I’ve been considering doing an alternative stream every week when the subs come out. 4 AM on a weeknight really doesn’t work for a lot of people, myself included, and I think a stream the next day would be a lot more viable for everyone. Additionally, I download 720p .mkvs as the subs as they’re posted, so the stream would be somewhat higher quality because it would be streaming a file, rather than a stream of a stream.

Depending on when the subs are posted, the stream would probably be around Wednesdays at 9:00 PM CST. The stream link would probably be up around 8:45, but I’d just be showing dumb stuff while people came in until 9. Links to the stream would probably be posted on my sideblog, @bessho-ema, rather than here. 

This is all just a tentative idea for now, so if you’re interested please let me know!! I’ll start with episode 4 onwards if people would like this, though I’m not opposed to starting with a stream of the first 4 episodes~

Hello! 

I’m financially struggling. Due to my heavy load of uni work I had to close commissions, but because of this I am struggling to raise my bank balance up. I can’t afford groceries, bus fare and rent all the time. Due to not buying enough food I am often too weak to even work on my important assignments.

I need all 4 wisdom teeth removed as of a recent checkup, and I won’t be able to pay for that myself in years unless someone hires me.

I don’t have a job and have been applying to places for years, and my autism and (often severe) anxiety affects me getting employed. So while my commissions are closed, I ask for help. 

If you have any advice on getting jobs or earning money, that would mean so much to me!

Any amount will be highly appreciated, and reblogs mean a lot to me. If you would rather to commission me instead, message me. But they’re closed for a reason; I’m busy and my art would be months late.

I ordered the wedding dress today I’m making Kaiba’s coat out of and I need some good backside-view shots of it. DSOD is has pretty much no full-body back views. (Of Kaiba. Apparently it was extremely necessary to have a slow-mo dramatic walk-in focused on Atem’s ass, which doesn’t help me at all.)

… yes, I am asking for HD shots of Kaiba’s ass for a DSOD cosplay.

So basically I need Battle City and forward, but in HD, because I’m gonna have to go HELLA on this wiring and seeing how the fucking thing actually moves would be, you know, helpful.

My best friend and I are creating an app to help closeted LGBTQIA+ kids in abusive situations. 

The app is finished, and we plan on submitting it to the Technovation competition in April. 

But there’s one problem. 

We can’t get the app to help people if we don’t have the data. 

The competition states we must source our own data through a survey, and if we don’t get enough participants, we can’t submit or release the app until we prove that there’s a need for it. 

We already polled our school’s relatively small GSA, but that gave us biased answers that weren’t enough to successfully draw a conclusion. 

Please, take this survey. No matter your sexuality, gender, preference, race, or anything of that matter. We need data to make this work. 

More importantly, we need you to make this work. 

The difference between this app helping people, and sitting in a trash folder on my computer is the amount of data this survey collects.
