what was the nickname judai gave to misawa in the first tanya arc? you translated it as misawy but i'm curious to know the japanese nickname; it sounds like みさわじ or みさわじん or something...
Yeah, it was actually 三沢っち (Misawa-cchi) ; it’s kinda like -ちゃん (-chan), except while -chan would be like “Lil’ X” (like “Lil’ Judai” from Mrs. Tome), -cchi would be like making “Mike” “Mikey” or “Kris” “Krissy”. "Misawy" was how I figured I’d work it with “Misawa” lol.

I look at them shaking hands, and all I can think of is all of the memories they had together as friends. Most of which occurred in season 1, but regardless, Judai and Misawa were pretty good friends.
Then things changed their second year and Misawa was ignored and forgotten about. His friends made him feel worthless and inadequate. And he became so depressed that he was for a time suicidal. But after he left to study with Zweinstein and later being with Tanya once again, he got through his depression and found happiness. His life is better now than it ever has been. He still treasures his friends, but they made him feel lonely. And Misawa has found a greater purpose for his life and others who need him besides his friends. That purpose itself is one of the things that kept him from giving up on life, and now he’s encouraging Judai to do the same. And honestly, I think if he did have any anger towards Judai and the others for how they treated him in their second year, he’s forgiven them and has let go of his anger. Because he still considers them to be friends, but he’s just going to move on and have the happy life he knows he deserves. This hand shake is like saying “Now matter how far apart we are or where life takes each of us, we’ll still be friends.”
I know a lot of people in the fandom were also angry about how Misawa was treated (and I was too), but personally I think he was still well written and it’s just hidden.
