-This week’s Yuto: A miracle happens to the deck!-
As if responding to his desire to save Ruri, Yuto’s cards appear! Yuto’s fight to save Ruri, who has taught him to bring smiles through Dueling, begins!
Okay so taking all of what we do know I have come up with a theory about what happens to people when they get carded.
We know is that when someone is carded they are taken body, mind, soul everything. All that’s left is just a card with their image on it.
In the past an time a character was carded in some fashion it was usually done by some form of magic/other worldly supernatural power that only certain people have the ability to use
Here that’s not the case, here anybody can card someone so long as they have one of Academia’s so delightfully designed duel disk. Which use some form of tech enabling them the power to turn someone into a card (using some form of energy/magic stuff)
They also have the capability to hop between dimensions with them too.
Leo having been the one to figure out the dimension hopping is likely the one who designed or helped to design Academia’s disks. Probably adding the carding ability to deal with anyone who might resist/or oppose him.
We also have recently learned that when a person is a card they aren’t dead and that there may in fact be a way to reverse the process. Likely via some machine hidden somewhere with in the walls of Academia.
So if they are alive then what happened to them. Did they literally physically turn into a card..highly unlikely. At least I don’t think so.
Obvs carding people is nothing new to the ygo verse, that shits been happening since DM. But they never really turn into a card- it’s just what is used to seal people away in wherever the antagonist has sent them. The image that appears is kinda a like looking into a window to the place where they have been trapped and also kind acting like a door sealing them within that place.
Roger also mentioned in the last episode of the Synchro Arc (slight spoilers if you aren’t there) So having completely flipped and realized he’s pretty fucked as a last ditch effort to stop them he buggers around with his big ol Dimensional transport Machine thing he’s got and then states to them that he’s sending them to the place between dimensions before ending up falling into it and presumably becoming trapped there but who knows.
Leo being a smart person probably figured out that there most be some kind of space between the dimensions, which is what keeps them a part from each other. Whether on purpose or accident he figures out away to actually send people there.
Even though it can be reversed clearly it something he’d rather not have to ry and do- hence why Yuri commented on how if he did card Yuzu that the Professor wouldn’t be very happy. (that he was probably given the order not to card any of the bracelet girls)
-
When someone is carded all we see is a bright light, then card. Kinda similar to when people travel dimensions (or when Yuzu’s bracelet glows and sends Yugo away).
Sooooo,
What if when someone’s carded they are simply being forcibly sent into that space between dimensions Roger mentioned, with the card kind of acting like a door closing behind them and trapping them there.
Yugo and Rin Duel!?
Yugo and Rin have an emotional reunion. However, Rin then challenges Yugo to a Duel!! Yugo feels that something is off about Rin’s strategy, but…!?
This week’s Reiji: Telling Yuya about his promise to Yusho!
Reiji talks to Yuya about the promise he made three years ago. In order to stop Akaba Leo’s ambition, he asked for Yusho’s help, but…
Yugioh Arc V Episode 113 Summary
Yuya and the others arrive in Fusion and come across Dennis. Meanwhile, behind Dennis stands a man who Yuya has dueled before…
So, I really didn’t see that one coming
‘The Commons are my pride, and where my origins lie.’
That line thee is why I firmly believe that part of the reason that Jack, after becoming King, did nothing to help the Commons, is because someone higher up held leverage over him to keep him complacent.
He clearly has not forgotten where he came from or his people, so why do nothing unless he couldn’t.

Textless (not perfect) Ed Kaito & Asuka from the new opening
So, the script’s mostly good to go; I just have to adjust half the lines for a cut frame I realized led to an audio skip (in my whole video-splicing process, this happened before I did any), then go about encoding.
But before that, I just have one more fix to work on: in the shot where Kohara has King Goblin attack, they had Second Goblin where Giant Orc should’ve been on Ohara’s Disk.
So, I’d expect it all done this weekend!

So I feel like the only people that had any fun this episode was Yuri and Sora.
As a side note: Did anyone notice the Tsukikage’s duel disk start up animation has a shuriken in it? Because I didn’t. I’m either blind, or oblivious. Or both.
