GX Finalized-Subs!71 (WIP) - “The Former Shooter Game Champion”
Getting work on my finalized subs for episode 71 underway, and as part of it, something I wanted to do was translate the file Asuka–now with the Society of Light–pulls out about Ryusei (Lorenzo in the dub) here. Took me almost a week to do with a few hours after work here/there, a few hours yesterday, and then mostly finishing touches today. And this was kind of interesting, since I had to brush up a bit about older shooter/shooting games for context; 71 has some gaming references peppered in, between Ryusei using the BES cards based on the Gradius game in his duel with Judai and even little things here like the references to Space Invaders with the Nagoya Shot/Attack (”名古屋打ち/nagoya uchi;” a bug in the 1978 game, so named because it was discovered in Nagoya, Japan, lol). So all told, Ryusei here has some credibility to back up the claim in the episode that he’s a game champ. (I’m assuming he won a shooter tournament Kaiba might’ve hosted at some point.) [Shoutout to [a Japanese site I’d link to if it weren’t for Tumblr hiding this post from the tags if I linked to anything here] for transcribing Ryusei’s profile]

Interim Principal Chronos and Vice-Principal Napoleon quarrel over the abolition of the Red dorm, and the two Instructors soon decide to duel. Three Toy Soldiers appear from Napoleon’s Army deck, and through the Forced March and Fife and Drum Corps Magic Cards, they inflict a lot of damage to Chronos. In that moment, a power shovel* strikes the Red dorm, starting its demolition–but as Chronos uses his Antique Gear Monsters to retaliate, his carpenters begin to rebuild it.
(*The original Japanese summary refers to a wrecking ball here, but the entire episode it’s just Napoleon’s power shovel tearing at the Red dorm.)
Manjoume defeats the Blue students one by one, bleaching the Blue dorm white in a baffling course of action. He goes on to say that the Society of Light, led by Saiou, will finish the academy, and Asuka duels him hoping to put a stop to that. Manjoume’s “Hell’s White” Permanent Magic inflicts 600 damage to his opponent, in exchange for forcing him to play while displaying his hand–a strategy that throws Asuka off her game, as Manjoume wastes no time in using his Armed Dragons to corner her.

Hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving! (Or your regular Thursday if you’re not in the US.) I’ve got finalized!69 and 70 here coming in like a wrecking ball~ (Which… is actually a bit of an accurate reference, given how things change with the Society of Light plot starting here, lol.) These two episodes are fun and interesting to watch, as 69 treats us to Chronos’s first duel of Season 2 and Napoleon’s first ever, as best professor Chronos shows us more character development while standing between Napoleon and tearing down the Red dorm, and takes some… damage for it. 70 kicks the Society of Light plot we’ve been lowkey building up since 61 into gear, as Manjoume
White Thundersuddenly becomes a threat and single-handedly bleaches his former Blue dorm white while everyone else was focused on the Red mess; Asuka steps in to try and snap him out of it, her “we forge our own fates” philosophy clashing with Manjoume’s “we can’t stop fate” one, but Manjoume’s able to get Asuka overthinking her strategies (causing her to break YGO’s “don’t think about your endgame” rule) and that ultimately leads to her fated defeat as she joins Manjoume in the SoL. She does share a good character moment with Fubuki, though, as he tells her how proud of her he is for being so determined to find him–a message that he luckily doesn’t feel a need to sing–while the moment where Judai and the others question Manjoume’s sanity is great.Animation-fix-wise, there were several card-related fixes I worked on, mostly in 69 as 70 was pretty good about that; both also got one or two quality-of-watching fixes. Details below the cut, as usual, along with a quick Translation Note for one of Napoleon’s lines in 69. I also chose to remove quite a bit of the extra Italian/French words I put into Chronos’s and Napoleon’s dialogue in my original run-through of 69, since I thought it might’ve been… a bit overkill. 😅 And since at this point I’ve been consistently handling Chronos’s “[na] no ne”s with “[now,] won’t [I/it/etc]?/no?” and Napoleon’s “de aru” through having him speak more elegantly/pompously, so it’s their general speaking styles that they take issue with about each other here.
Enjoy, folks; I should have these up on NAC in the next day or two. Then, our next double-release’ll cover 71 and 72, as Judai faces the Academia’s resident game champ and a deck-destruction strategy–both are interesting episodes (and ones I haven’t revisited in a while). Stay tuned!

After so long, Judai returns and battles Ed with the Red dorm’s demise on the line. Ed’s D-Heroes are still powerful, while Judai has made a complete recovery from his previous loss, in high spirits as he battles with the Neos deck he says evolved by catching space waves. He has Aqua Dolphin and E-Hero Neos evolve into Aqua Neos to destroy Dreadguy, but as he does, he goes back to his deck?! Will Judai be able to master his Neos deck?
Judai’s duel versus Ed continues. With his Neos deck still unmastered, Judai is exposed to the D-Heroes’ direct attacks, dropping him into a 200-LP pinch. But his Neos deck comes through with Air Hummingbird, who recovers a lot of his Life, and Flare Scarab, whose ATK increases as he’s summoned. Later, within the new zone his Neo Space Field Magic forms, the latter makes contact with E-Hero Neos (ATK/ 2500) to call out Flare Neos…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So who else was looking forward to Asuka VS EdEpisodes 67 and 68 have been finalized! One of a bunch of double-releases I want to work on to make up for some delays, this is an interesting duel all things considered, as Judai challenges Ed fresh off his jump into space (Misawa, I feel your “nitpicky” pain) and rediscovering his inner kid–which he uses to try and break through to Ed on how he shouldn’t use his dad’s D-Heroes for revenge, and he realizes that he was the one burdening his D-Heroes with fate. A neat exchange that dissolves the antagonism that was going on between Judai and Ed there. Our resident cult member Manjoume also starts turning some gears in Ed’s head about Saiou and the Society of Light in 67, and after seeing Judai’s new power for himself, he decides to stick around hoping to clear things up with Saiou.
Fun note: the GX manga started being serialized in Japan as these episodes originally aired, as the credits are updated to include that. (Though Yugipedia puts the original run starting on December 5th, 2005, while 67 aired on January 11th 2006, but 🤷🏽♂️) Also, the Flare Neos scene is a favorite, as I first saw it when I first watched the flashback in 105 (since I started watching GX in Japanese around the mid-70s on Nebs.TV back in the day lol), so it was nice getting to it in 68 proper when I first subbed 68 some years ago. (Also, Gil Bo Noh did some Key Animation work in 68, though the episode as a whole has really good art; I’m inclined to think the one shot as Ed has the Doubleguy Token hit Judai directly pre-eyecatch was his doing, though I’m not sure if it’s confirmed somewhere, lol.)
In terms of animation fixes, I did work on a fair amount of them for each episode, though moreso in 68; mainly card-related fixes (including one that was just fixed in 59 as well), but I did do a few quick footage fixes, and in 67 I also translated the signpost Napoleon leaves at the Red dorm (as shown in 66′s preview for it); list below the cut, as usual, if you’re curious.
Enjoy; getting some work started on 69 and 70 for the next double-release for Chronos VS Napoleon (and more development for best professor) and Asuka VS Manjoume White Thunder, which should be fun.
Lance Plays Duel Links 5D’s - Yusei VS Placido! The Descent of Two Shooting Star Dragons (ENG Vox)
Clear Mind!
I’m having too much fun using this Stardust EX deck haha (with a few tweaks as was posted in r/DuelLinks, iirc). Had a Placido Wisel LV2000 show up, so I challenged it to a Riding Duel, and since the EX Skill already leads me into a Shooting Star Dragon, thought it’d be fun to subject Placido with two of them 😅
yusei no he’s not alright(I’m also a sucker for the Accel Synchro and SSD animations, though come on Konami, how does the Crimson Dragon mark not have Rua’s Heart mark??)
I did have the JP voices before on my Steam, but the newer updates must have undone it, so I’ll need to redo, but it’s a shame Yusei’s English lines don’t have him say “Clear Mind!” given it’s the reason why his Accel Synchro is a thing–I mean, “Let’s rev it up!” for the umpteenth time? Really?
Anyway, enjoy! I saved a few replays of some other fun duels I had with this deck that I’ll try and edit/upload in between bouts of working on finalizing my GX 65 subs. Will probably need to make the voices louder than the SFX, too, apparently lol.
While Judai is away from home, Shou and Tyranno Kenzan argue about which of them is Judai’s “little bro,” prompting a duel between the two in which their passion towards their Big Bro is at stake. First, Dark Tyranno–Kenzan’s boss Monster–lands a direct attack on Shou. Then, Shou uses his Cyber Summon Blaster Permanent Trap to chip away at Kenzan’s Life in 300-point chunks. He also completes a defensive combo with Ambulance Rescueroid and Decoyroid…
Here’s a newly-finalized episode 64! This episode’s interesting because of the whole Shou/Kenzan dynamic getting fleshed out a bit, with the two coming to some level of understanding with each other as Kenzan maturely opts to throw the duel after realizing how dedicated and close Shou is to Judai. We’ll get a bit more from them later, but it is nice that we close that out here. Also, Fubuki’s being Fubuki much to Asuka’s chagrin, making us wonder how this season would pan out if he was still possessed, and we see a shirtless Judai in… Pharaoh-branded boxers that I’m surprised aren’t a real thing yet.
Now, in terms of footage fixes… I guess after two episodes of not having much to fix, 64 had quite a few to work with; I worked on 10 edits altogether, all card-related, and I’d originally picked out five I thought would be it before I backtracked for the others I’d noticed. The animators didn’t play all their cards right here, lol. List below the cut, as usual. (For the ending Today’s Best Card segment, I also added a line in the card details for Ambulance Rescueroid’s Fusion Materials that the original didn’t include just to keep consistency; this line is used for future Fusion Monster showcases, so it looks like they might’ve just forgotten it in this one.)
Enjoy, folks! With this done, next time we’re revisiting a classic: Hell Kaiser Ryou’s debut episode~ I’ve been looking forward to this, and it should be fun to revisit. Should have episode 65 done in 2-3 weeks, maybe sooner if ‘rona jab #2 doesn’t hit me too rough this Friday 4/30–fingers crossed!
[In this house we appreciate Professor Kabayama]
Instructor Kabayama, Yellow’s dorm leader, tries to bring Tyranno Kenzan and the others who have kept staying at the Red dorm back to the Yellow dorm–doing so by using curry to lure them. Kenzan and Kabayama then duel, and Kabayama activates his Curry Pot Permanent Magic, which gradually removes his carrot, potato, and onion from the game, culminating in the summoning of Curry Fiend Roux. Due to his Spice Cards, Roux has his ATK raised up to 4100–much like a curry that was carefully simmered and thoroughly prepared…
Episode 63′s newly revised and finalized! Didn’t mean to take three weeks since 62, but since I was getting my first jab against the, uh, crush card virus we have out there, I tried to get the episode’s script taken care of this week just in case it went down a bit tough, lol. (So far, at least, slight arm soreness aside, I’m feeling good!)
also i just got a SwitchAfter the bit of plot dump we got last episode with Judai, we have a bit of a breather episode here that’s also somewhat endearing, as we have some screentime for one of the Duel Academia’s oft-neglected professors in Kabayama–who I know I’d seen somewhere before… Kenzan also gets some more duel time, premiering his new Dino Infinity, and Kabayama translating the cooking of curry into a dueling strategy was interesting. Meanwhile, Judai’s slowly working his way back to everyone, so we’ll put a pin on him for now.
Fix-wise, I did apply a few quality-of-life footage edits which were split-screen-related, but not too hard to work on. Some details below the cut, as usual.
Enjoy, everyone! I’ll be getting work started on 64 next in a day or two, and I should have it done before Injection Fairy Lily jabs me again in three weeks; it’s Shou VS Kenzan to decide who really is Judai’s lil’ bro, and it starts an interesting Shou/Kenzan dynamic~
A despondent Judai finds himself in hyperspace. With the guidance of a strange yet friendly dolphin alien, Judai reunites with the cards he drew as a child which were launched into space by the Kaiba Corporation–but due to the power of the universe’s will, they became perfected cards. Judai then duels a hostile space creature, and he begins to understand the concept of his new deck, which harnesses the power of Neo Space, a body of energy at the ends of the universe, to power up his Monsters.
Here’s a finalized!62 for you! Despite the randomness of Judai finding himself in a world 600 million miles away because of a shooting star crashing into him, this is an interesting episode that helps set up some overarching plot points we’ll see for the rest of the series, between Neo Space, the whole “power of righteous darkness” thing, and the concept of dark (good) vs light (evil) which doesn’t happen often. We also get Judai’s mental fog due to the effect Saiou’s powers had on him clear up as he rediscovers the kid inside him, and–as a Japanese blog I looked up some lines on put it–”the start of the ‘Neos overuse’ legend,” lol. Of course, this also sets up the next few “Judai’s lost” episodes, but we’ll see soon enough that there’s a reason for them.
Animation fix-wise, nothing to report here!
Enjoy, folks; I’ll be getting started on 63 soon, as Kenzan gets some time to shine, and everyone suddenly gets hungry…
5D’s Dub-Uncut Episode 29 WIP Clip #2 - The Rise of Foreshadowing
So, about ¾ths of the way through editing the episode, and I wanted to show off a bit more of what I’ve done so far–starting with the big “Road of the King/Atlas Rising” gala scenes. I translated the movie’s poster, using the dub’s version without the text for simplicity, and used the dub’s name for it as I worked it into the footage (I also did versions using “The Road of the King”, in case I ever, uh… need more to eventually do lol)–I first added the text in Photoshop and redid the zooming shots in the outdoor scene, then adapted the translation for use in the indoor shots.
For the audio, as I mentioned last video, I used some Duel Links lines for Carly over the poster shots since there was a dub commercial here, I used a Carly Duel Links line to make her line to Angela “No way! Angela!” instead of “Angela! Fancy seeing you here!”, and during the gala, I used the Japanese audio to take out the unneeded MC lines before Goodwin steps down the stairs, shortened his teasing lines about the movie, and used Duel Links lines so that Jack’s dialogue in the movie was actually consistent with what was said in those scenes originally in the Japanese version. (Also didn’t show it here, but I had to keep the reporters who react after Angela breaks that Jack’s a Satellite in Japanese, because of the way 4Kids decided to have the two that talk talk back and forth after each other instead of one having the most dialogue.) I also had to tweak Misty’s foreshadowing line to Carly because 4Kids gave her added lip flaps; I think it came out well, and works if I try to do a later scene for fun, lol.
Most of this sounds about final since I’ve tweaked the audio levels for this section already, but let me know what you think!
5D’s Dub-Uncut Episode 29 WIP Clip #1 - Yusei Makes Moves/Carly’s Fortune
So, work on dub-uncut!5D’s episode 29’s been coming along well, I’ve gotten the dialogue and music drafted, so now I’ve been going back and adjusting audio levels and adding back SFX; currently up to the commercial break on this front, and I figured now’s a good time to show it off a little bit. I haven’t shown off how I translated the Showcase/Noteworthy Cards segment at the beginning, so there’s that (and I managed to use some Duel Links lines for the twins to try and translate their original lines, recycling how I handled “check out the show for more!” in 27 [but I noticed after upload that Sony Vegas botched my mask for Rua on top of the English banner so some of the Japanese is visible… Will fix this before release]), and then I used some Duel Links lines to get Trudge’s dialogue in the cold open more accurate to the Japanese script and dial down the whole in-your-faceness of him working with Yusei rather than Yusei willingly letting Ushio take him to Godwin; as that was already established at the end of 28 since I couldn’t edit around it, thought I’d be able to do something here.
Also thought, since this is the last full episode I’ll be doing (for now), that I’d work in Mark de Groot’s awesome English Last Train - A New Morning cover, so there’s a preview of that, as well. Then there’s the Carly scene, which uses a pitched-up/sped-up version of Carly’s theme which took some playing around to get recreated just right; just need to grab the SFX that plays as Carly’s dejected over her fortune to get it sounding right. Also worked in some Duel Links lines to do a good translation of the line about Fortune Fairy Sui’s fortune, and had to work in some more to cover for the commercial break the dub has between Carly getting her second wind and the Road of the King/Atlas Rising red-carpet event (and I’ll also try to translate the poster for this).
Out of an attempt to decide which of them is the true Hero user, a duel begins between Judai and Ed. Judai lands the first strike with Flame Wingman, but Ed immediately summons Phoenixguy from the same Fusion Materials for a draw between them. The battle heats up further into a battle of high-level E-Hero fusions as Shining Flare Wingman takes on Shining Phoenixguy, all while Ed refuses to approve of how Judai is so nonchalantly inspired by his Heroes.
Judai’s duel versus Ed continues with Ed activating his Clock Tower of Seclusion Field Magic, which eerily marks the hour of destiny. He goes on to summon his D-Hero series of Monsters one after the other–a group of Monsters said to freely manipulate time itself with destiny as their guide, and which are more advanced than even the E-Heroes. Judai suffers by way of a combo which deprives him of his own Heroes as they’re thrown several turns into the future, only to be manipulated into attacking by the enemy upon their return. And at last, the D-Hero imprisoned within the Clock Tower shows himself…
So, there are several duels I’ve been looking forward to revisiting as I finalize my subs, and these two episodes, which give us the first real match between Judai and Ed, are easily in the top ten. After I first fansubbed Season 3 in late high school and circled back to Seasons 1 and 2 while I was in college, I eventually burned these episodes onto a DVD and kept flicking them on whenever I was bored–safe to say a lot of the dialogue sounds pretty familiar by now, lol.
That’s how well these episodes hit, though–after he just took out the Kaiser without even lifting a finger (as Venomas6 pointed out on NAC in a great analysis on the episode, Ed literally won without ever inflicting his own damage on him–every single LP the Kaiser lost was his own doing), it’s our first real look at Ed as a character and what drives him beyond just the pro duelist prodigy we’ve been told he is; we dig more into his belief in fate (which we’ll circle back to once we learn more of his dynamic with Saiou), and of course, we touch onto the biggest difference between him and Judai while also planting the seeds for some further development down the line (the “D-Hero imprisoned within the Clock Tower” bit, for example, hinting at the DD duel later on and the assessment he makes about Ed). Between that, the duel itself being our first look at these new Destiny
antiHeroes, Judai’s second loss (😲) which sets up some introspection for a few episodes, 59′s pacing in general, “YEEHAWWW”… What’s not to love about these? (Besides how the dub handled a lot of the dialogue around a “hero’s burden” [which, hello Season 3 foreshadowing] or made Ed’s dad “disappear”–though it’s funny we totally forget about Junko and Momoe in 59 lol)In terms of animation fixes, 58 saw a couple of little footage fixes that were missed by the animators, but 59 saw a fair amount of that and card fixes–all told, I did 18 different fixes for the latter, which is why these kinda took a while to finish lol. List below the cut, as usual.
Enjoy, folks! With these done, I’ll be getting work started on GX 60 and Fubuki’s antics to try and get that out soon-ish; having already revised the script for GoldenUmi’s release of the Duel Selection episodes (where they remastered fan-favorite episodes from each series) on NAC a while back, it shouldn’t take too long, and then I’ll go and finish up my 5D’s Dub-Uncut mini-project with 5D’s 29. Stay tuned~
(Check out my handy masterpost with streaming links to my subs here)
And these are now up for download over on NAC!
5D’s Dub-Uncut Episode 28 WIP #2: Backed into a Corner
Gradually working more on this! With the dialogue mostly drafted (I think I still have to draft the preview), I’ve started mixing in more SFX and I’ve pretty much finished doing so for the duel portion of the episode; I haven’t totally leveled out the audio levels here, so the sound is still in progress, but I thought I’d show off a bit more. Especially since I kind of like how this came out, lol.
Kaiser Ryou and Ed Phoenix are set to duel in the Pro Dueling League. While Ed’s deck is an E-Hero deck, it contains different cards and strategies than Judai’s, and so he Fusion-Summons “Phoenixguy.” The Kaiser strikes back with his Cyber Dragon cards, and Judai and the others, knowing it’s a deck he’s faced before, assume Ed to be weak. At last, the Kaiser closes in on him with Cyber End Dragon, strengthened by his Power Bond, but…
And a newly finalized 57 is all done! Only took 2.5 weeks, so not too shabby, lol. It’s a neat episode, establishes what the Pro League Ryou’s moved onto is like, we get some fated insight into our mysterious new freshman, and… Ryou’s spiral into Hell Kaiser is set into motion. Also, Judai learns something new about his deck, which… c’mon, ya dork. Overall, a good episode.
(Also, did want to note that, for Ed’s Heroes, I decided to use “[x]guy” as opposed to “[x] Guy” as I’d done before (ie, “Phoenixguy” vs “Phoenix Guy”); given that it’s a riff off of Judai’s “[x]man/lady” Heroes, and it’s written that way in Japanese without a space between “[x]” and “guy”, I figured it’d make sense. Means it’ll be “Diamondguy,” “Diehardguy,” etc when we get to Ed’s D-Heroes reveal next time.)
On the fixes/edits side: had a few card fixes to do, but the big ones were adding Burstlady’s oft-forgotten shoulder strap and taking a crack at fixing the signs Ryou walks past in Domino City that were mirrored for some reason, though I’d handled this latter one as I prepared 56. Details below the cut~
Enjoy, folks! After a little downtime (we do apparently have something happening tomorrow in the US which, however you go about it, you should consider taking part in if you haven’t yet [
wake me up when dueling to settle world issues is being debated]), I’ll be looking more into working on 5D’s 28′s Dub-Uncut edit, mixed with preparing for finalizing both GX 58 and 59; as it’s the first real Judai VS Ed duel, and one of my favorites, I’ll be trying to release them together, so stay tuned!
5D’s Dub-Uncut Episode 27 WIP #4: The Dark Signers Appear
(Don’t mind the extra effects, YouTube being YouTube and all they were needed to get past the Content ID match)
Been a bit eager to show this one off, haha. So, in the last WIP, we left off with Carly’s intro; here, I show off the near-final product of the scenes with the Dark Signers making their first appearance, along with Yusei and co discussing their birthmarks (including my attempt to fix the dub’s dumb mistake calling Yusei’s the “Head” mark, but since I didn’t have a clip of him saying “tail” handy, I combined a clip of him saying “T[ake]” with another one to give me the “ail” sound, along with tweaking Leo’s line after; if someone knows an episode in which dub!Yusei might have said “tail,” lemme know lol), and then possessed Dick showing up to duel Yusei.
5D’s Dub-Uncut Episode 27 WIP #2 - Enter Stutter-Stammer Carly
Wow, this new arc looks brilliantly flashy!
nah, it’s just me making sure YouTube doesn’t block, don’t mind it lolGetting into episode 27 proper after the first WIP weeks ago, here’s another preview of what I’ve been working on! Work’s been gradually coming along on this; I’ve drafted the music and dialogue for much of the episode, so now I’m tweaking things and adding SFX where needed. I wanted to show off this clip, but wanted to also retranslate the Last Train OP and actually translate the ED, which I just finished up (I’d already translated Last Train for myself a while back, while I’d never done CROSS GAME, which also had me write up some singable translated lyrics for it that I’ll flesh out and post sometime).
Here, for Carly’s debut scene, first off: major thanks to yugidmx5; they provided a cleaner rip of the in-hindsight-poorly-named “Tenpei” theme for me to work with, along with some other help later in the episode. Dialogue-wise, I cut out some of Angela’s offscreen fluff dialogue by throwing in the Japanese audio as Carly got herself ready, then cut Carly’s “from one journalist to another” bit as she walks over after Angela shoves her and gets Yusei’s name wrong (which I’d have edited out, but not much to work with lol; I also edited Angela’s line a bit to remove her last name since, well, she never had one originally). Wish they kept Angela calling her “Stutter-Stammer Carly…” Then, I looped some of the crowd chanting “Yusei!” at the end to edit out Yusei’s unneeded internal monologue. And then, we get into the fully translated OP, which speaks for itself, lol.
Stay tuned for more WIPs!
5D’s Dub-Uncut Episode #27 WIP #1: What Will Today’s Card Be?
Just about getting started with dub-uncut episode 27! Though I’m doing it in bits and pieces while I finish up finalizing GX episode 54’s subs, but I have been looking forward to this one. And part of it involved figuring out what to do with this clip, since of course 4Kids left these segments undubbed.
Luckily, Duel Links has these Duel Carnival events with the twins where they use their lines here, so it makes it easier to work with! The only trouble is that it’s Eileen Stevens playing the twins in Duel Links, as opposed to their earlier VA pre-65, so there’ll be an inconsistency there with the episode proper, but not much I can do, lol. I also made use of more of their Duel Links lines to fill out the clip; since Rua and Ruka question the card before encouraging viewers to stay tuned, I combined an “Oh!” and “No way!” for Leo, followed by a “what’s” and “this?” from two different lines for Luna, then “You’re lucky!”/“You get to”/“see!” (though it sounds like a question since he’s saying “See?” in the original DL line), and finishing up is a “Here goes!” from Luna. I kept the beginning SFX before the twins pop up, then redid the SFX for the cards flipping and the showcased card moving forward.
Think it came out well, given the limits! Just have to see if the Duel Links audio is enough to tweak for 28 and 29’s clips… Also, I had the subbed video with the English over the sign’s Japanese there handy since I’d edited this episode for myself a while back for a personal DVD; I’ll likely try to actually translate the sign at some point while I work on this. Stay tuned for some more WIPs!
