Weathering Soldier / Efflorescent Knight

This whole scene is so sweet, they’re practically speaking the same language even though Judai’s not familiar with fossils.
It is a nice moment and it is a problem that these scenes between them are just flashbacks. Jim’s determination to save Judai would have meant a lot more if we had actually seen these moments earlier in the season. Granted, they didn’t really have much time to do something like that, especially when they were emphasizing a connection between Judai and Johan more than anyone else out of the new cast, but this would have been more effective and less sudden if their friendship had been established a lot sooner.
I feel the exact same way. I would’ve much preferred these scenes happening in real-time instead of as flashbacks right before Jim duels him. Things should build up over time instead of just being all thrown at the viewer right before they matter. Nothing we can do about it, though.

How poetic.
this is the best screenshot i’ve ever taken
Jim gets stuck in the vent because of Karen on his back and has to crawl on the ground before standing up when he gets out. I just love Jim.
They have names, you know…

JIM YOU SARCASTIC COWBOY
Jim said this entire sentence in English. Bless his little Aussie heart.
Karen doesn’t let him face it alone. Such a sweet crocodile friend.

Jim Cook is a rare specimen
Like, he went through a lot of bullshit in season 3 and was honestly such a rad character. I mean, he was arguably kinda flat, but he played his role and he played it damn well, so levelheaded and determined to help his friend, Jim deserved a chance to be developed more in season 4.
