“Why is the Duel Academia in the MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN?!” — Johan Andersen, ep. 172’s preview for 173 -
complete rainbow dragon! i took these with a camera cause the full picture doesn’t fit in the scanner, and they’re also taken at an angle so the lights in my room don’t disrupt the picture (aka make a dumb reflection on the glass)
started him three days ago. day one was the sketch, day two was the head and portion of the neck up to the emerald gem, and day three was everything else today, from 12pm to 9pm. i wanted to finish him before leaving for vacation, so i was quick about it (especially the wings, which im not very proud of, but oh well!)
either way, i think he turned out really cool! now i have one of my favorite monsters of all time hangin’ out on my wall, and im proud to say i painted him myself :+)
an assortment of both children’s water colors and some pretty expensive ones with a .5 lead mechanical pencil underneath, all on simple watercolor paper.

So… part of me wants to take this as official and start calling Johan “Johann” in my subs, especially after seeing the English GX manga refer to him like that a couple times by accident… And it might fit, given that he’s European and all…
And Chrome somehow thinks “Johan” is grammatically incorrect…But then I realize how much fixing and re-encoding that would involve and
ain’t nobody got time for thatthink it’s much easier to just stick with Johan… -
