Heh, yeah, after everything they just went through they definitely wouldn’t want to take some other deck even if it is a copy of some famous duelist. I mean I suppose one of them could have just taken it as a souvenier or something but it’s the principle of it that matters most to them. Nothing can take the place of their own precious decks.

I like how all they really needed was some encouragement, for someone outside of themselves to remind them of the things they had forgotten in their fear. Because that’s certainly something that happens in real life as well. You can get so stuck in your own head that you lose sight of perspective and the ability to say no to that part of your brain that tells you that you’ll fail no matter what so you might as well just stop trying.
Manjoume remembers now that as painful as losing can be, it’s not the end and that he just has to pick himself back up and keep trying. He’s done it before and he can do it again as a pro if it comes to that.

Those three cards are the ones that represented them earlier when Fujisawa was showing Fubuki their fall into despair, but they can also represent hope as well. Ojama Yellow has played a significant part in Manjoume’s growth and how his bonds with his friends have developed. Power Bond of course is representative of Shou’s relationship with his brother and his growth as a duelist in learning to become more respectful. And Doble Passé is representative of Asuka’s commitment to her dueling, how she’s willing to take an attack in order to strike back at her opponent.
