Ok so I’ve been watching Yugioh GX subbed and it’s wonderful, but can we appreciate the fact that Manjoume/Chazz’s catchphrase is a pun in Japanese?
He keeps correcting people who call him “Manjoume” by telling them, “It’s Manjoume-’san’!” (or “It’s ‘the’ Chazz!”). And in Japanese, 「万城目さんだ！」 (”Manjoume-san da”) and 「万城目サンダー！」 (”Manjoume sandaa”) are pronounced the same.
So “It’s Manjoume-san!” and “Manjoume Thunder!” are basically the same thing. His freaking catchphrase is just him correcting how people address him, what a goddamn nerd.
