I think my favorite thing about this is that yes, Judai and the Ojamas were what started to weaken the light’s influence on Manjoume, but it seemed to me that ultimately Manjoume snapped out of it on his own with his own strength. He returned to his former self in the middle of the duel and it did not take Judai beating him in a duel for him to return like it did with Asuka.

It’s a shame they didn’t focus any further on his relationship with his brothers. I mean, they appeared in season 1, were super important for his character development, and were never shown again except for that short cameo at the end of the season.

I especially wanted a continuation because of this scene (episode 35):

This was so beautiful. Especially because I had only known the dub version before (which made me dislike the two brothers a lot), this scene was really moving. So much potential for more interaction between them (for example towards the end of the series).

But no. .___.
