I know absolutely nothing about nothing. But since it’s canon that SOME cards are real people and reincarnations. I like to think that Mai is the reincarnation or whatever of the Amazoness Paladin.
They’re very similar looking, she shares a bond with them that’s never explained, they’re Strong women, she also plays with them after learning how much stronger she is with a found family and those Amazoness cards only work when they’re with each other.
