That line thee is why I firmly believe that part of the reason that Jack, after becoming King, did nothing to help the Commons, is because someone higher up held leverage over him to keep him complacent.
He clearly has not forgotten where he came from or his people, so why do nothing unless he couldn’t.

I s2g, this is the happiest we’ve seen him the entire series.

Also, I think this might be the first time he’s show actual, physical affection to his brother because, just look at his brother’s face. He was not expecting that at all.

And then he just smiles.

This episode just hit all the right mush buttons for affection gosh.
