So this is an interesting thing to note, cause it’s like, the only time in YGO we actually get a hecking date and can pinpoint when it takes place.

There’s a 2004 on Judai’s student sheet, and on Kaiser’s sheet it says Graduated 2004, which means Judai started at DA in 2004.

And since they stay for three years that means as of S3/4 it is 2006.

That also means that DM took place around 1999/2000 (since GX takes place ~7 years later, the 10 yrs later is a dub thing).

Also I worked it out backwards and Judai would have been born in 1989 (since he’s about 17/18 here). Which means he’s 2 years older than I am.

It’d be a bit remiss of me if I didn’t issue a correction here… 😅 The revised/more accurate line:
