No but seriously, I’m so happy that it’s Yugi who’s dueling and not Atem for most of this duel. Like not only is this giving Yugi the love and attention that his character deserves, but Yugi is Judai’s idol, and not Atem. Judai grew up thinking that it was the real Yugi in all of those duels in Duelist Kingdom and Battle City and at the time didn’t know anything about the Nameless Pharaoh. To see Yugi holding up to the expectations that Judai had and being the great duelist he always saw him as shows Yugi’s independence and strength. Yugi’s so good in this duel, and both he and Judai are having a hard time landing a hit on each other. This is easily one of my favorite duels in GX.
