ZEXAL: 0:00 to 2:30 (Spoiler Warning)

No embedded video because I couldn’t reasonably get the size under 100 mb apparently. I wrote at length about Ebina in a recent ask, but I had a couple hours to kill, so I made a quick video collecting his key animation.

Ebina is growing in popularity among Yu-Gi-Oh fans for being one of the best animation directors in the current ARC-V rotation. His characters are drawn with a level of detail and polish that fit right at home in the Yu-Gi-Oh series. His effects have this rough, low-frame rate quality to them (without being as sharp and stylish as Junpei Ogawa) but a retains a smoothness that still makes them nice to look at. His character drawing overall emphasizes round shapes, but making sure they retain plenty of edges for the Yu-Gi-Oh aesthetic.

Video-wise, I didn’t include everything but this covers all the bases. I cut around at certain points if there were too many still shots/talking scenes. Some I left in because they had particularly strong layout/character drawing (without actually say, moving a whole lot). 

Overall while a relatively new addition to the Gallop team, Ebina has proved to be a very strong animator and I hope he continues to work on the series in the future.
