The One Where Manjoume Hallucinates But Also Gets His Groove Back
Having lost to Judai and Misawa, both of lower-ranked dorms, Manjoume left the Academia and roamed about in the ocean, breathing feebly. Under the instructions of an old man he comes across on a mysterious ship, he arrives at the Academia’s North Campus. However, the austerities of gathering cards from scratch and duels with the North Campus students awaited him there. Then, Manjoume at last duels the North Campus’s King. Overcoming all of his hardships to come around in a big way, Manjoume’s skills will…?!
So, this is getting posted late because, like I previously mentioned, laptop issues came up. [It whomps.] I actually uploaded this last Sunday but haven’t had a chance to make a proper post (I did quickly post the link once I saw it processed the next day or two), so here we go. A neat little episode focused on Manjoume rising from the ashes of defeat, said ashes having affected him more than expected, apparently. It’s a good one, though.
Also, “King” but I see no JACK ATLAS whatGiven my situation right now as I’m transferring files from my hard drive to my external/sister’s laptop to try and reformat it (while also hoping the wine I accidentally spilled on mine doesn’t impair it too badly, smell aside), and the final encode for some reason not saving fully on my drive despite the full upload on Cloudy (though I should still have the second-to-last encode to work with), I’m not sure when I’ll have things uploaded for posting on NAC, so stay tuned. This also throws a wrench into my plans to speed through 25-28 just as I was ready to hunker down, arghhh. (Also hoping I’ll salvage my current ARC-V subbing prepwork) We’ll see what happens.
In terms of fixes, luckily, I think I’m hitting the part of the show where there’ll be less card fixes to do because they’re getting their stuff together, but still did a few here, as well as one animation fix. And before anything, I want to give so many thanks to @alicethedragonvalkyrie for all of her help with editing 200+ frames for the ending “Thanks for Watching” clip so there’s no sponsor text; it took a few weeks to make it look smooth, but the result is super-nice! It’s a shame this footage went unused in either 24 or 25 where it likely should’ve, so I wanted to make some use of this TV-only video~
Also, slight terminology change, as I’ve decided to finally scrap “Instant” Magic in favor of “Quick-Play” Magic. “Instant” always felt a little off but I stuck with it for consistency, so with these revisions and “sokkou” translating more to that, I thought now’s a good time as any.
though expect a bunch of reencoding soonNow, fixes!
