Hey folks, I join YGORGanization and YGOWikia editor CheeseDude and @kaiowut99 on a podcast to talk about YGO Arc-V. Give it a listen, we will try to make you egao or something.
Hey, look, I was on a thing! I might eventually ramble, but you’ll still take the damage when I dish out some of my ARC-V thoughts :) [Hmm, maybe not a good way to promote said rambling…]
(Also, I previously recorded an ARC-V Voice Meme that you’re more than welcome to check out!)

Well I mean that does mean his horrible background is finally gone and he’ll be raised lovingly by Himikia. So him being stuck as a baby isn’t the best but there is a upside to it
I get that’s what they mean with it, but she fought tooth and nail through her PTSD, found an identity of her own, stood up against and bested Reiji, and saved the worlds. Her resolution to becoming her own person being that she as we know her is gone and this new baby, too young to have a sense of identity, is now going to be shaped differently while coexisting with Zarc just doesn’t sit right.
They present it as a positive, and people who can read it as positive are okay, but it just kinda reads like an inversion of one of the main themes of the show. A stark disagreement between author and viewer, and I’ll just keep being bummed that the character known as Reira no longer will exist.

I see that most people are disappointed with Arc V’s ending.
Also to add bit to this, the theme of Arc-V is to take a step forward with courage.
Everything bad that happen with Leo and Zarc happened because they couldn’t let go of the past (Leo wanting to get Ray and the original world, his old world, back. Zarc wanting to beat Ray, become one, and destroy everything because he practically went insane).
It was put to Yuya, who at the very beginning was in a runt because he couldn’t let go of the past and even if he took a step forward (Pendulum summoning) he couldn’t do it with courage (he got very upset when he found out other people can use Pendulum too), to fix, not fix but inspire I guess, those two and everyone else to move on with their lives.
The ending was sad yes. Reiras a baby and possibly has some of Zarcs soul in him (at least it’s good). Heartland is in shambles. The six counterparts lost their own bodies.
But look Shuns smiling, the Yuu boys worked together with Yuya, and the bracelets girls were smiling at the end. Let me tell you it’s hard to be happy and continue on after a bunch of shit like this happens.
Yet they’re all somewhat content. It takes courage to accept somethings won’t be the way thy use to be and life just goes on and it’s different.
Yea the ending was bittersweet but the cast, despite all the shit they went through, are taking a step forward into a brand new unknown tomorrow with the courage to keep smiling and continuing on.

Is Rin the worst-treated character in all of yugioh?
She is a key plot point, a key element of the lore of the show. But. She has 1 duel, in which she has no agency, she has 1 relationship, with a boy who loves her but we never see them interact in the show proper, she has… nothing.
She is gone. Dead. Forever vanished. Nobody will mourn her. Yugo was the only person that knew her, and they’re together inside Yuya and Yuzu maybe. Allan, Sayaka, Shun and Kite will deeply miss Ruri. Barret and the Lancers will mourn Serena. Rin.
Nobody knew Rin.
Did Yugo know Rin? He saw her as a love interest, he was infatuated with a childhood crush. And he lost the duel against the parasite because of that.
Her only legacy was building Yugo’s bike with him, which is destroyed and gone forever. Clothes that were clearly designed with Yuzu in mind due to the color palette. Those are gone, too.
She never got to see her city improve.
We never got to see what were her goals.
We never got to see her outside of being along the other yugirls rooting for Yuya.
And no character in universe will notice that she is gone.
I see that most people are disappointed with Arc V’s ending.

Tbh for most of Arc V I thought the four dragons were really cool but never had I thought I might have seen them as cute and precious but in light of the last few episodes I just want to pet them and hug them and make them feel appreciated
