Oh no, don’t get me wrong; I’m liking it too! I figured that might’ve been what they’re going for, and the contrast between earlier in the arc when he was always so composed and over the last few weeks when his plans have blown up in his face has been fun to watch, haha.

^Probably my favorite face of his this episode, btw.
YEAGER! WITH CUP NOODLES!
EVEN TENPEI GOT A CAMEO!
but i lost it at Roget’s OTANOSHIMI WA KORE KARA DAAAAAAA omfg
Anyone have a link to that really awesome QUALITY ARC-V 777 op someone made a while ago? The one with MSPaint level edits?
Want it for reasons haha
[edit: nvm found the thing]
Question, has anyone ripped any SFX from ARC-V yet? Specifically the counter-goes-up/down sound, but if there’s more, I wouldn’t say no. Would be useful for this thing I’m doing!
This episode was so good
So I recorded the ARC-V Voice Meme posted by massuneko the other night because ping-pong, and it ended up being about 40+ minutes; did a bunch of editing to get rid of most of my stammering, then added music and clips because why not (I think it came out more like a mini-podcast haha i miss being on radio). I feel like I didn’t explain why I like Yuya that well, so here’s a post that puts it into better words! Enjoy!
(And now, with the spoilers announced for 100, there go my “return to Standard for a bit” hopes… Also, that trope I was thinking of was called “Soundtrack Dissonance” [though this example’s not listed there]. And I forgot to mention Yuri’s chasing Yuzu as another favorite moment, given how it establishes him a bit as a villain, or Yugo beating the Obelisk Force, or even the first Riding Duel in ARC-V [Yugo VS DC227], OR JACK’S ENTRANCE fail. I really do enjoy the series a lot, which is why it’s so hard to pick favorite moments or duels, lol [honorable mention also goes to the Yuya VS Reiji duel in 12/13, Gongenzaka VS Yaiba, Yuya VS Gongenzaka, and Yuya VS Sora I & II). If there’s something else that could be clarified, lemme know!)
Also, Australians are great. 😄)
I love how some people on JP Twitter are all “you’d be pushing ARC-V for tennis?!” but my favorite was one tweet that was like “Academia’s attacking, but there’s a tennis dimension?!”
Shinji’s so thickheaded about his revolution that he’s willing to think of Crow–a supposedly good friend of his–as an enemy just because he’s suggesting doing things differently. C’mon, dude.
Otherwise, this was a great episode, but that script’s going to be needed for this one; a lot of the stuff with the Council re: Roget went a bit over my head lol. Speaking of, him calmly losing his shit again in the beginning tho. And Yuzu just tackling him to get in on the feed was good. And Shun flying in with the save! (I love how they played the “D-Wheel” music track during that scene, too.) This Yuya/JACK duel looks to be good!
Ah, no worries. Looking up the names, we’ve got
94:
95:
96:
As for the difference, @ygoanimation would know more, but as I know it, storyboarders draw up the idea for scenes (like I remember seeing Ono’s storyboard for 5D’s episode 1′s Junk Warrior attack scene way back), which then get fleshed out by the animation team. The episode directors likely choose how they want the actors to portray their lines and whatnot. Not too sure on that myself haha.
I know, right? I really liked those shaded manga-esque shots of JACK and Sergey, too!
Digging around the Preview thread on NAC, looks like Toshi Shishikura was the Animation Director, and I dunno if he’s worked on other ARC-V episodes so far, since ANN doesn’t show anything. I know there was an Animation Director Chronicle thread on NAC but I can’t find it to find out, lol. Next week should be good too, thanks to Yuya Kawamura; Kimiharu Mutou (another good 5D’s-era AD) is also Director, and Katsumi Ono’s Storyboarding for it. That one Sergey face in the preview works as an example, haha. Hopefully, Ebina and Hara are planning to chip in sometime during Yuya VS JACK.
Sergey what the amazing
actual
fuck
Also, when Sawatari tells Reira to call him “Big Brother” and he runs to Tokumatsu haha. And it’s good to see the Yuya/Gongenzaka dynamic back!
The JACK/Sam moment was great too (”The same [’There are no worthless cards’] can be said about people too; just as you have worth, Yuya Sakaki has his, and I have mine,” to paraphrase a little). Overall, I think I liked this episode a lot more than last week. Not that I hated 92, but 93 felt a bit more like a return to form. helps that I just unintentionally marathoned much of 13-34 yesterday
Also wondering how Sergey’s able to use that Field Spell (which made another neat reference with the flames) when Crossover Accel and Neo Speed World are supposed to be active. I thought they couldn’t be destroyed, unless a player using a new Field Spell is what can do it…
Can’t wait for 94.
*ARC-V used REVIVE on DMGX*
*DMGX’s HP was restored by–huh?*

…SAILING MY SEAAAAA
Hey, sorry for the late reply! It all really depends on when Monosubs (who actively subs it the week it airs, if GX_ST isn’t caught up) releases their subs; you can check their Twitter @monoker0s for updates/releases, then check sites like KissAnime after a release. And GX_ST’s subs (as well as my GX subs, if that strikes your/anyone’s fancy) can also be downloaded over on NAC (NeoArkCradle).
The One Where I Start Doing a Thing (WIP)
Just a little thing I’ve been wanting to do for a while; the ARC-V dub is at least decent and has some decent/great actors involved, but I’ve felt that the one thing hurting the dub the most is the change in music. That, and fluffy dialogue. and awful dialogue
So, to that end, I finally got around to tweaking a plugin in Cool Edit a bit and worked with the audio to get it sounding decent enough to be able to mess around and add the original score back, and here’s a preview! I started here since episode 10’s a personal favorite, and the dub was also surprisingly good for it. I made the dialogue match up a lot more with the Japanese script when possible, meaning some lines were shortened (like with Henrietta scolding Dipper) or muted (and with scoffs/whatnot, I might recycle them in spots). And because the isolator isn’t perfect, I’ll be adding back SFX to make it sound a bit more natural, along with tweaking the audio some more. Thankfully, the dub uses some more moments of silence where there originally was music, lol.
I’ll probably revise this part/the audio as I go along, but here’s this to look at. More of a side project (especially since I still do want to work some more on my 5D’s!DBZKai thing), but one I would like to work some more on. Enjoy!
(Check out my dub/sub comparison for episode 10 here!)
