you know that really intense music that comes a lot in arc v but specifically im on episode 99 and reiji's dueling the second roger ITS SO GOOD i wish they would hurry up with the sountrack it's been like a year ]: arc v honestly is beating 5Ds right now for my favorite soundtrack and i never thought that would happen

Saaaame anon, I’m itching for SD4 news at this point D: Had to check to see which song you meant (is it the Commons’-like theme when he plays his face-down and Roget’s all “Let’s enjoy ourselves, Reiji Akaba?”), but ugh ARC-V’s music is so good it might’ve already trumped 5D’s for me haha. ~~still a close second tho~~ Koutarou Nakagawa’s a blessing to YGO.

In response to the Violet Flash tag, someone has, basically, you fuse the turn you activate it, you can draw a card and your opponent can't stop the fusion.

The One Where I Start Doing A Thing (WIP #2)

So, I’ve been slowly working more on this! Just hit the commercial break, and as I said before, I managed to edit out the dub’s music to add on the original OST, while also editing the dialogue to play more in line with the original a bit more (meaning some lines were shortened (like with Henrietta scolding Dipper) or muted (and with scoffs/whatnot, I might recycle them in spots)) Notably, I also made Julia’s lines as Yuzu’s reaching for the Action Card fuzzy like they should’ve been. I also added other SFX as needed to make it sound a bit more natural; luckily, using a vocal remover on the DVD audio let me hold onto most of the original SFX pretty much perfectly (ambient and all, which meant I was also able to get good rips of the alternate tracks in this half/abrupt cuts to work with). Compare it with the first WIP vid I made, and you’ll see the difference, lol.

I started here since episode 10’s a personal favorite, and the dub was also surprisingly good for its first half. And this actually came out sounding pretty good! If only they could’ve officially stuck with the original music… Also, not entirely sure what I’m going for with the footage haha. I started out trying to make it an alternate dub track, then decided to keep some shots they cut (like Yuzu flying after Diamond first hits her directly) but then cut others since they were undubbed (like Sora explaining Hand Fusion, which I had no fluffed-up dialogue to add there) and fixed the music accordingly. Maybe I’ll just make it another track for the raw and just leave in the original audio… Hmm.

Interesting case here, since the full version’s PV is already out. I translated this with the TV version in mind, but the third line on comes later in the full song (and the “uso ja nai” line starts with “baka ja nai” instead). I’ll transcribe the full song and work on a full translation later in the week, but meanwhile, here’s this! Really digging this one too, and I’m eager to see what the ARC-V animation is for it. ~~hurry and come out already dsod~~ Enjoy!

Whipped this up really quick; it’s actually grown on me the more I sang along to the song, haha. I love the refrain before the chorus, and I liked the chorus itself, despite some people not liking it for some reason. I mean, considering the song’s name and all… :P (Also liked the nod to the Circus Action Field Yuya dueled Reiji on.)

Do you think there's any chance that DM characters could eventually show up in Arc-V? I know some people don't want them to, but I think that would be amazing.

AGHHHH This is a tough one, lol.

On one hand, I would say DM shouldn’t be involved because it’s already getting DSOD–which has also made ARC-V suffer quality-wise for a bit–but on the other, DM should because ARC-V is an anniversary series celebrating the whole franchise… And I still think there might be a chance that DSOD might have something to do with ARC-V’s plot.

I think I’d like to see DM characters worked in, but it really comes down to the execution; I wouldn’t want them to be shoehorned in like Team Ragnarok in 5D’s, but if they can work them in smoothly (like with JACK/Crow and like Kite/Asuka/Ed seem to be), then I’d be game for it. I could see Jonouchi maybe (though Crow’s a lot like his character personality-wise already)… Would be interesting if Mai showed up…

Code Geass’s composer is also Arc-V’s? I did not know that!

Yep, Koutaro Nakagawa’s been composing for ARC-V since the beginning! It’s part of the reason why I love ARC-V so much; YGO series usually have awesome music anyway, but Nakagawa’s work is especially good. You can pick up similarities in some of his tracks (like, I think Yuto’s battle theme has a bit in common with one of Zero’s themes).

hey lance! got some toughts about the two new characters we saw in the opening? the girl with glasses and the boy. (Also, I think the one behind the two twins is a professor… Chronos expy?)

Well, it’s hard to think of much since we just got started here, but glasses!girl at least seems like she’s related to Ruri with her similar hair colors. Dunno about the boy, lol. They were also distraught (or at least the girl was while the boy looked stoic about it) by the chaos going on in the earlier shots, so I kinda wanna say they’ll find their way into the Resistance? Definitely hoping there’s some hint about them next week, but since Kite’s dueling Gongenzaka and Shingo, it might not be until 1-4 episodes after 101 lol.

As for the professor guy… I don’t think he’s a Chronos expy; I think he might be in league with the guy we saw before who was trying to stop younger!Selena from escaping in that flashback. Definitely seems like he’d be Academia. Wonder what the watch is for…

Really curious about the twins too, though. And of course, Yusho’s place in that shot; do we get to see him outside of a flashback this arc?!
