Oh God, where do I begin? It’s kinda hard to give a proper character study on Ruka because, ultimately, she wasn’t all that important to the centre story, but let’s at least try.
Ancient Fairy Dragon - Her signature monster, and protector of one of the Spirit Worlds that Ruka agreed to aid her in. Field control and swarm to aid in manipulating the situation. But with so little duelling from her, it’s hard to make much out from this or her deck.
Rua - She really did seem to have a dependency on her brother to do a lot of the legwork, though initially it did make some sense as she became worn down extremely easily, which frequently left her housebound. The problem came later when she became physically tougher (or so it seemed) and still had this need for Rua to do the legwork for her. Suggesting an unwillingness to really apply herself which I truly hope is just down to her being unused to it.
Spirit World - This was the core of her story, and not that well done. Aged 3, she agreed to aid Ancient Fairy Dragon in protecting this particular Spirit World, but the magnitude of the responsibility was more than she could take at the time, and she ran away from it. In the eight years that followed, it succumbed to a severe rot and decay and she finally had to step up and work to protect it. Or at least that’s what the Fortune Cup Arc suggested, seemingly being almost completely rewritten into something out of Njarnia (and no, that is not a typo) during the Dark Signer Arc. Really felt jarring even the first time with only the core of her needing to be there to protect it being retained, and even that element was apparently discarded afterwards. This could’ve made for a compelling character development. What a waste.
Her Future - Studying……something, and doing……things. ‘Nuff said.
Talk about wasted potential here, almost as bad as with Aki who dropped from a higher starting point, hard to say which is worse.

i mean yeah granted i’m taking some of these caps out of context because not all episodes are yuuya-centric and that’s great but we still get yuuya in concern/panic/zetsubo every episode and-
okay yeah we need more to sustain our thirst for wilted zetsubo tomato
My mother just walked in when I was watching Arc-V and said “That purple haired boy thinks he’s so special with his constellation headband.” and walked out.
“Those fools are foolish enough to think that Odion is me, yet secretly, unbeknownst to them, I am actually me and I hold the real Millennium Rod behind my back… You know I do hope nobody looks in my general direction, otherwise my whole evil plan is totally fucked”
Assuming that he’s planning on saying “dead” and that he was the one who killed Shadi, this would mean that Yami Bakura killed him when his host body was TWELVE YEARS OLD.
I am having extreme difficulties picturing him killing a grown man when his host body was that young, mystical golden item or not.
I brought this up like almost a year and a half ago. Yeah…nobody seems to know. Outside of theories with Zorc and Hasan. Which kinda could explain it, but not really completely. (At least not in my opinion.) It bothers me so much cause it’s obvious that they have a history…
…And it’s not explored.
I think it pretty much explains itself that bakura killed shadi but it never really explains why? possibly because shadi was instrumental in helping the pharaoh unlock his memories and he wanted to prevent that. but even though shadi was a ghost at that point he did it anyway lol
And here we see a perfect example of the only consistent plot device in all of Yugioh: “The thing that was supposed to be explained at some point but that never happened.”
Who said Fubuki could be the referee of love in this duel?
Himself
Fubuki is the Master of Love, thus the most certificated person to point a referee of love and the best referee of love would be none other than himself
