Here’s a testimonial from tumblr user @ashikai on the importance of your vote in these primaries. It’s the latest I’ve heard in a string of cases of a candidate winning by a few, or one, votes. Your vote matters.
Ok, seriously tho. This was my first caucus ever and I cannot stress how important it is to show up! TWENTY PEOPLE showed up for my town, plus SEVEN absentee ballots, ok? That’s 27 people. The same size of a normal public school classroom (maybe a little smaller).
When it came time to vote, Bernie won, 22-5 with no undecideds and secured 2 delegates as a result. These aren’t massive numbers people; your vote can and DOES make the difference, especially on a small scale like this.

I’m tired of the doom and gloom “bernie is losing, we’re failing him!” posts so listen up
A polical science lesson for y’all:
- Bernie is not “falling behind” and we’re not “failing him”
- In fact, posts like those are MORE likely to discourage voters and kill his momentum than encourage them
- At this point in the race, it is NOT ABOUT THE DELEGATE COUNT, IT’S ABOUT MOMENTUM
- who has a lot of momentum right now?? BERNIE. He has done FAR BETTER THAN EXPECTED while Hillary has done much WORSE than expected
- like i said delegate counts don’t really matter much right now
- BUT just so everyone knows, as of 2/24 Bernie and Hillary are TIED
- They both have 51 delegates each
- lots of news sites are saying hillary has a huge lead on bernie with delegates because they are assuming the superdelegates are with her but that’s all just speculation Not. Fact.
- Super Tuesday (on March 1st) has a lot of southern states who will most likely favor Hillary but that’s ok because

If you are using XKit, this does indeed more or less work. It gives you a reply button back at the bottom of original posts by the people you follow, and the reply you enter gets added to the notes on the post like the old feature did.
Possible shortcomings:
- It looks as if you only get to enter one reply. The behavior of the original reply feature where you could enter multiple replies does not appear to be supported. Whichever reply you enter first is the one you get.
- I’m guessing that this relies on Tumblr maintaining support for the display of replies in the notes. Since they currently support that for the display of legacy replies (that is, those made before the Great Upfuckery of Reply Removal), it seems possible they’ll maintain that going forward.
- On the other paw, there’s nothing stopping them from breaking the feature tomorrow, an act that would be consistent with @staff‘s established M.O.
- This is only useful on the desktop. I’m not sure if there’s a version of this available via the XKit mobile app, which I haven’t used in a while due to its slower performance compared to the otherwise-much-derided Tumblr mobile app. Maybe I should try the XKit mobile app again?
Anyway, there it is. I will now be going back to being an annoyingly prolific replier to the original posts of those I follow. Thanks, @new-xkit-extension!

Please be grateful to the fansubbers (i.e. don’t be the rude anon who was upset at ruSUBan for not releasing in under 24 hours). They don’t have to do this; it’s a service to the fandom - if you’re going to complain, ask yourself if you could do it better first.
GX_ST also does subs (they are the NeoArkCradle group), but NAC requires an account to access their links. They are also the group that provides the raws for ARC-V.

HOW TO BUY LOW-COST GLASSES
If you are like me, you are low income. It doesn’t matter why, but you are and sometimes you need things to prevent your quality of life from dipping too much. Like a decent pair of eyeglasses.
Zenni Optical was brought to my attention by one of the residents at the clinic I interned at. The staff is remarkably skilled and it was my privilege to be able to work with them for 300 hours. Anyway, they serve many low-income folks and, instead of them sending them to their optician to look at frames, they recommended taking the up to date prescription and plugging it in at Zenni to get a good pair.
What you need
- Your eyeglasses prescription. Get it however:
Dig it up from your paperwork
Call the last place that did your exam and pick it up
Pay for a new eye exam, decline fitting, and take the paper
- Your pupillary distance
This is likely on your script somewhere. Look for “PD” and the number behind it. Otherwise, try this.
Here’s what you do:
Make an account at Zenni.
Plug in your prescription. I won’t go into the details of why and how scripts are written the way they are and how cool it is. Just plug in the values exactly as you see them. OD (ocular dexter) is the right eye and OS (ocular sinister) is the left. Sphere, cylinder, and axis for each.
It should look like this:
Now shop for some glasses and order.
Cheapest pair is about $7. Shipping is a flat $4.95 no matter how many pairs you order. Sales are often so, sometimes, shipping is free.
You can also order prescription sunglasses! Just make to order a regular pair in whatever frame, import the prescription you plugged in, and choose Add Standard Lens Tint.
I recently order my sunglasses because my eyes are going to boil out of their sockets. Took about a week. Came with a lens wipe cloth, PD ruler, and a case. Lenses are accurate and the frame doesn’t feel cheap or unbalanced.

I would try them but I need the transitions lenses so I’m not blinded by the sun every time I try to go outside. Might be helpful for my followers though.
A lot of the cheap sites offer transition lenses, though those are more expensive. They still cost a lot less than glasses without a copay. I used, and loved, these sites until I got decent eye insurance.
