remember 8tracks dies with today.  

you can copy the playlists including the album art to spotify. but as some tracks are not available on spotify, here is how you best save your favourite playlists:

1. click “Download Tracklist (.txt file)”. It does what it says it does and copies all playlist information

2. save the description and album art. I use the google extension “Full Page Screen Capture“ to quickly screenshot of the complete page. it’s easy and simple (and saves the screenshot with the name of the playlist and creator). 

3. (optional) save the album art. the screenshot only saves the album art in low quality. if it’s a particular pretty picture you can easily save it by clicking on the magnifying glass (upper right corner)

You’r better off streaming on Twitch and uploading it after the fact. Better yet, stream on Mixer. Its a heck of a lot better than both.

Just a heads up, Twitch does have rules for affiliates against posting recaps of streams on other sites, I can not site the exact line off the top of my head, I’m sorry it’s under ‘Exclusive content’ due to being an effiliate that basically gives them the right to pull a ban outa their ass if you post or cross stream within the 24 hours of it being originally streamed on twitch (It’s been at least 1 year since I’ve checked tos/streamed on twitch so you might want to check on it if you are an affiliate)

That makes sense. None of the youtubers I watch that stream on twitch upload replays any more.

So you’re better off streaming on Mixer.

PSA to anyone that hasn’t heard yet: 8tracks is shutting down at the end of the month (Dec 31st 2019). If you’ve ever made a playlist or favorited a playlist on there that you want to keep, they’ve made the option available to save ANY playlist to spotify along with the album art (as many tracks as are available, some may not transfer due to not being on spotify/being under a different name/etc), as well as generate the entire tracklist for you and give you a .txt file in which to save them to your device. Note that you have to copy and paste the tracklist yourself, as the .txt only copies the title and username (at least what I’ve experienced), so double check the file when you save it! Update: the Download Tracklist button is now in the notes of each playlist and will copy all the playlist information.
