JC, aka GymLeaderLance99 or GLL99 or Lance99. 32|He/Him|NYC. I fansub GX, work on dub/sub comparisons for 5D's (and GX eventually), and have various other projects going. Expect a mix of YGO stuff (and a little ZeXal and SEVENS [which I'm slowly watching]), with some occasional randomness.Duel Links ID: 537-542-930 | Master Duel ID: 999-767-712

Here’s something that bothered me about GX.

    Judai’s pants.

That’s right, I said it. Here’s what bothered me through the first three seasons of that outfit:

    They never get dirty.

That kid took so many tumbles to the ground and through the dirt, and there is next to no visual sign of it the second after it just happened. He doesn’t even dust himself off after. No rips or tears either.

Seeing how his pants were WHITE, then dust, dirt, and whatever else should show up quickly. Even a walk through the woods and foliage on the island should do something to them, but I don’t mind leaving that out. Not to mention the time he literally crawled on the ground and through a hole in the school building to get outside during class-time. That time at least the knees should have been just brown.

And then there’s that time he spent days wandering the island lost in season two. He showed up again looking the same as always in episode 67.

Manjoume’s white Society of Light coat got dirty, but they made a point of showing how it was his poor table manners that caused it.

Are Judai’s pants made of some sort of special Kaiba Corp. patented material just for dueling? Since apparently dueling is a bit of an extreme sport in that world sometimes.

I guess you could say the animators have now been caught with their pants down

    • #but yeah it's those little things that give a bit of realism
    • #pretty sure DM and 5D's had times where outfits got dust on them
