JC, aka GymLeaderLance99 or GLL99 or Lance99. 32|He/Him|NYC. I fansub GX, work on dub/sub comparisons for 5D's (and GX eventually), and have various other projects going. Expect a mix of YGO stuff (and a little ZeXal and SEVENS [which I'm slowly watching]), with some occasional randomness.Duel Links ID: 537-542-930 | Master Duel ID: 999-767-712

  • "but-they-probably-hoped-to-air-it-on-the-CW" yeah it did air on the CW! I remember watching it and 5Ds Dub saturday mornings a few times on it. I'm sure thats the main reason and that they didn't want to be bothered by overly obsessive parents. The CW edits to DBZ Kai are hilarious. Whenever they re-ran Dende's death they edit it so everyone is just vaguely implying he died and best of all post-replacement music they still kept the Yamamoto Soundtrack piece for that scene due to the heavy edits

Well, I meant more that they hoped ARC-V would air on there, lol.  I know they aired ZeXal for a bit, but it always surprised me that even after they went to Nicktoons and online premieres, they still kept the same level of editing going.  I mean, I shouldn’t be surprised since the same happened with GX when it started on Toonami–and it later aired on the 4KidsTV block.

Pfft, they’re fun to watch just because of things like that, blue!Popo, their editing halos into light balls, but the weirdest one was when Namek started and they edited Shenron out of the opening. o_O I definitely remember some Yamamoto music still happening too, haha.  I also know they played an instrumental version of A Chilling Elegy at some point that I’d been meaning to see if it’d been ripped.  I wonder if they ever made it past Imperfect Cell before Vortexx was canned, haha.
