JC, aka GymLeaderLance99 or GLL99 or Lance99. 32|He/Him|NYC. I fansub GX, work on dub/sub comparisons for 5D's (and GX eventually), and have various other projects going. Expect a mix of YGO stuff (and a little ZeXal and SEVENS [which I'm slowly watching]), with some occasional randomness.Duel Links ID: 537-542-930 | Master Duel ID: 999-767-712

  • Had to plug in that animator’s name (金 正九) into a Chinese dictionary and got one definition that had it as “Korean surname Kim”, which led to me looking up ANIK (the company)-involved anime, ctrl+f “kim” until I got something similar to the readings I got for the other characters and landed on Jung Gu Kim.  Saw what they worked on, looked at an ep of Strawberry Panic! really quick and they were listed as Kim Jung Gu.  That was in 2006; looked at something around GX 6’s time, and Aishiteruze Baby was out in April of ‘04 (6 premiered that November).  Checked it out, and lo’ and behold; 金 正九 came up in the credits!

So I’m putting it in as Jung Gu Kim.  Though I wonder if the romanized Korean names later on are in Japanese name order or Western… Especially since I feel like I’ve run into Kim Jung Gu at some point already lol.  Which means a bunch of consistency fixes might be incoming! Either way, that knocks out the Key Animation credits in GX 6.  Now, for the In-Betweens… and MORE Japanese names!
