If you post audio from sites like Soundcloud or Spotify, it’s alright. Nothing will happen to your blog. However, if you upload copyrighted music/audio yourself, there might be a chance that Tumblr is enforcing their copyright policy and terminating blogs. Like I mentioned before. I do not know if this is true or not. Yet, it’s best to be careful and take precaution anyways. I am so sorry if I caused mass hysteria.

because all i post is original stuff, but i do covers and parodies of popular songs as part of my VA’ing

I honestly don’t know. You should be fine though since you’ve managed to upload the mp3 files right? On my Disney blog, I tried uploading a song from the Princess Diaries and I couldn’t at all. It’s almost as if the site has something installed to detect copyrighted audio. If it’s something original, I don’t think it’s a problem. I’m trying to find answers and so far, I’ve found nothing.
