Well, I rarely play nowadays, but when I do, I run a classic El/Ev-Hero mix and a Gem Beast deck, and I also have an old beatdown-like deck I used back in HS.  I’ve been meaning to try and finish up an Arcana Force deck (ZA WARUDO is so much money), and I at least want to get all the E-Hero fusions (still missing Tempester and some other ones, I think).  Thanks to getting into GX so much, that’s one reason why I like E-Heroes a lot.  And Gem Beasts just seemed cool when they came out, lol.

Yeah, I think I’d be willing to give it a shot! Shouldn’t be harder than translating regular manga, I’d imagine. 

Send ‘em my way! I still have to work out a good/reasonable pricing system for translating different things, though.  Maybe a quarter for every 10-20 characters? HMM…

(Though it’s funny, I actually look at one series of fanfics on Pixiv to help me with my subs, since a lot of the time they use a lot of the original dialogue haha.)

Well, thing is, the term’s ダークネスの世界, which could be World of Darkness–except here, it’s referencing Old Sir Goatheadeth, as opposed to 闇の世界, which would be “World of [actual] Darkness”, “[actual] darkness” being the darkness invoked in a Game/Duel of Darkness.  I translated it as Darkness’s World to avoid that issue (similarly, the Italian dub used “il Mundo di Nightshroud”/”World of Nightshroud”), and I’d assume (or hope) they go the same way with it; they can’t go with “Shadow” since Goatheadeth doesn’t go by “Shadow,” or else we’d have a bunch of hedgegoat jokes, lol.

Definitely a welcome surprise, on top of the GX news! I didn’t see anything on it either; I was at the gym when news broke haha.  Guess they finally broke through those legal issues with Kazama.  I saw some of episode 1 last night, and the subs were decent, still missing a word or two occasionally.  Also, 5000 years should’ve been 3000.

That was surprising news, though! I do plan on checking them out to see how their translations stack up to mine, but depending on how good they are, I may or may not put my work on the backburner.  Then again, I would like to keep finalizing my translations for the sake of completeness, so I may still keep going anyway.  I think Season 3 and 4′s my best work, so I’d like to see their take on it.

Though, I believe I may also be feeling a burn to unleash another project with the extra time…

Assuming you didn’t mean the English version VS the Japanese, that’s kind of redundant since the Japanese version is the uncut version in terms of YGO.  And no, Capsule Monsters has yet to be dubbed in Japanese.

So, it is working on phones… I use Dolphin on mine and it worked, and so did the rest of my uploads for it.  I was thinking it might be a cookie issue on desktop Chrome (I also tried Firefox and nothing) since I was logged in, but I guess not.  This is so weird aghhh

18. What’s the first thing you think of when you see/hear the word ‘Digimon?’

“Digital Monsters!”

But no, honestly, I just think back to watching the show growing up and how me and my friends in grade school would run around pretending to be Digimon haha.  I think I always liked being Vamdemon (Myotismon as I knew him then) because I thought that one move where he gets two crimson-red whips in his hands was kinda cool in action.

23. Favorite female character?

HMM… Well, Sora’s pretty up there, thanks to the conflict she had with her mom and how it was a key thing in her development.  I think I’d go with Hikari, though, moreso in 01; that thing about being the embodiment of light was cool, and I really liked her connection with Koromon that you see in the Pilot and in that one 01 (heh) episode.  I feel like she had promise in 02 with that Dark Ocean subplot that didn’t go anywhere (kudos to Konaka for introducing it), but without it, I don’t think she really had much development in it.  May have to try rewatching it a bit, though.

Honorable mention: Lilamon’s partner in Savers; I liked her backstory with the piano.
