Hey, sorry for the late reply! So, assuming you mean 0:57 in the actual full track, the part that borrows from the main theme? I mean, it technically has :P It’s part of the track as heard on Sound Duel 3! It’s up on NAC if you want to download it. Hopefully, that helps!
(Assuming you mean the vocals alone, unfortunately, nope; hopefully we find some way of ripping them from the episodes, lol.)
Actually, yeah! The singles for it and Speaking came out over the last few weeks; just the songs themselves have been floating around, but I just found the full singles on HikarinoakariOST. (If you have an NAC account, I just reuploaded them and posted them there!)
True, it’d def take a lot of boosting. And yeah, a bunch of other tags are getting infested too. Would be nice to know what’s causing this…
Mostly because of all the things I do like translating the OP/EN credits, adding the ATK/DEF subs to the counters, and adding/making translations to on-screen Japanese text; partly because I planned (and still do) to burn my subs to DVD for easy viewing (when I started subbing, it was to show the episodes at my high school’s anime club, and I guess the habit just stuck haha).
That said, I’ve been releasing them as softsubs for a while now over on NAC. :P Zeratul there’s also been releasing softsub MKVs as I finalize episodes. (You’ll have to register to see the post, but yeah.) Most of the episodes should have links to the raws as well as the scripts; for those that don’t, I’m working on getting around to posting the TV-rips that went with the scripts for the time being, as I go through and finalize everything with the DVDRips.
So yeah, download the raw and script/MKVs, and you can turn the subs on/off, but I do give the hardsubs those added bells and whistles as extra incentives to watch them.
Haha, I’ve been thinking about it since day 1! XD
Just a matter of remembering how I did it. I know I used a plugin in Cool Edit Pro but with my laptop’s new HDD and all, I’d probably have to search for it if I don’t already have it in my old downloads, and figure out the right tweaks (it’d be much easier if the dub ended up getting a 5.1 DVD release, but considering 4K’s still struggling with a TV deal…). I’m also hoping the quality on the dub episode’s good enough to work with; otherwise, odds are I’d have to wait for the HQ Canada rips, lol.
(The clip in question) instablocked on youtube gdi 4k
Haha, well, so as everyone knows, 4K’s been hella slow about getting the ARC-V dub airing here in the US. But Italy started airing their Italian dub, based off the 4K English dub (unfortunately), earlier this year, and Canada started airing it once a week over the summer, I think. Then, Australia came in this fall (I think ‘round August?) and started airing them thrice a week (they’ll be airing 37-39 this weekend). get your life together 4k
I stumbled onto this site a few weeks ago that has .mpg medium-quality rips of the Italian dub, which I’ve been using to satisfy (heh) my curiosity on how the episodes are handled a bit (and conveniently refresh my Italian). Would’ve been nice if they got to dub it based on the original (they did so for GX Season 4 which was awesome), though. But there’s that if you wanna check it out!
‘Tis only a scratch!
*rubs head*
Yeah, feel free; just know I might not always reply right away or the same day! (or even the same week sometimes, always depends)
Must’ve been a goof on my part when I refinalized the scripts and deleted the older versions, lol. Thanks for letting me know, it’s fixed now! (x)
Hey there! (Late reply, I know)
Cloudy’s generally a hit, can occasionally be a miss depending on your internet, otherwise you can have it processing a file for days on end before it either works or doesn’t so you have to repeatedly upload it or reencode it…
But when that doesn’t happen, it’s great! Also, no limitations as far as I’ve seen; it’s even taken .mkvs, lol. But if anything, it should tell you on the upload page.
Yours would be too if you ever feared being hit by a random ATLAS PUNCH
Cool, I tried using Google’s Image Search to try and find what site, but none of the ones that came up had that art for Kaiba and Anubis (they had others though, so it may be useful at some point lol). I did just manage to find those arts thanks to the Wayback Machine and Janime, which had them in some old Shonen Jump scans; I’ll try to cut them out lol.
And that pic of Yugi definitely helps; thanks again!
Answer! Hmm…

Well, my listening’s generally pretty good; I’d probably have to just repeat the audio a few times to catch everything. And maybe once I pick up a full sentence or two, I’ll Google it to find someone transcribed everything haha.
Price-wise, hmm… I was already unsure of how to go about charging for my translations lol. I didn’t want to charge too much, but I like to think I do a great job at it… I really was hoping someone would chime in with ideas when I posted that help-me-out! post haha. I was thinking maybe 30-50 cents/sentence, but then I’d need to know how many lines are in it so I knew it wouldn’t be that much…
I’ll post this reply in case anyone has a good idea, or knows anyone who translated something that long for commissions. I’d like to try it, I just want to make sure I give you a good price!
Don’t worry, it wasn’t literally that!
So, all he says is “juudai ni…”, and the key thing to sentences that trail off is picking up on the context to interpret where it might go. Here, Fujiwara got it into his head that he’ll be beating Judai, so all Johan has in mind is not wanting to lose–wanting to defeat Judai. I interpreted that sentence to be “juudai ni [katsu]”, or “I’ll beat Judai…” (picking up on particle use is also key; X ni verb->verbing on X for this example; ex: “ヨハンに聞く/yohan ni kiku”->”I’ll ask Johan”), and normally, I’d leave sentences trailed off in the subs, but for better readability given the shortness, I just used “Judai’s mine…”, which does imply the same thing.
While I could’ve used “I’ll beat…” instead to match the trail-off, I don’t like having too much audio/sub mismatch going on, so “Judai’s mine” fits the context, matches his line with the mention of Judai, and just looks better lol.
