So, we know how the people handling Arc V recently said that the Synchro Dimension isn’t 100% based on the 5D’s anime or manga, right?
In terms of Crow Hogan’s character, this is actually a super good move.
For those of you who have seen 5D’s, you know pretty well that he is super fond and protective of orphans, helping Martha take care of them and all. In fact, in one of the very few episodes dedicated to Crow’s development, Pearson did tell him to take care of those kids for him and give them a better life. And well, as much as Pearson kinda messed up the timeline (i.e. writers saying that he built Blackbird and not Crow, which I don’t really believe), Crow’s gonna honor that wish because it’s Pearson. And even without the Pearson back story, Crow’s gonna be dedicated to the well-being of those kids no matter what.
But then, at the end of 5D’s, Crow leaves the orphans (and quits his job as a highway patrolman for Security) and Neo-Domino altogether to become a Pro Duelist??? Like. That doesn’t make any sense. Sure, he wanted to be a strong duelist, but it was always for the betterment of those kids. So the fact he just leaves them is almost hypocritical on his part. (and there was no mention of sending any of the prize money back to support them so there’s also that)
So, with the Synchro Dimension not being 100% based on the anime, the possibility of this happening is much lower and keeps the original intent for Crow’s character and I’m so here for that.
Okay, I was taking screencaps for the next scene when I suddenly noticed the label on the bottle there. I guess one of the animators must have been a huge Bruce Lee fan or something. ^^;
Actually Yugi himself is a pretty big fan of Bruce Lee.
I don’t know if that bottle has anything to do with it but it’s rather interesting. ^_^
I can explain! Rn in Japan they have this thing 壁ドン (kabedon, literally “wall thump”): when a dude slams his hand on the wall by a girl to keep her caged there with his arm. It’s supposed to be hella manly and sexy, but really people just meme the hell out of it, like the above.
I can understand Yuzu’s feelings and Sawatari deserved it, but I can tell from the very first time I saw this scene that Yuzu stepped over the line and my heart broke a little.
It’s also interesting to note how confrontational Yuzu is as compared to Yuya who never went back to Sawatari about the incident when they fought again in the Miami Championship.
But they know she exists, Divine. You are not helping her in any way. She needs to learn how to control her powers otherwise people will continue to fear her and call her a monster.
Someone send this girl to Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters.
Aki is like the Jean Grey of Yu-Gi-Oh.
*hisses at Divine*
Y’all are gonna have to hold me back or I’m going to go Yubel on this emotionally manipulative and abusive shit.
I won’t hold you back. Destroy that abusive bastard.
