This is heartbreaking, Pegasus was so madly in love with Cyndia that she was the subject of many of his paintings. For him to lose her like this must have been devastating.
I finally finished volume 4 of Yu-Gi-Oh! and this scene will always disturb me. Look at them casually walking away as Chopman gets fried to a crisp! Call me crazy, but I feel like Yami is telling Yugi this:
“Hey Aibou! I have a great idea. Let’s use Chopman’s strength against him by doing…..” You get the picture.
There are some stories in the first 7 volumes that are pretty compatible with the tone of the anime, or that made it in with only a few card-game-related changes. Then there are some that are just so over-the-top ludicrous, so unlike a children’s comic, that you have to go check your books to remind yourself that yes, they are actually canon.
