This is a card used by Kaiba in the upcoming “Dark side of Dimensions” movie, which is set after Yugi and Atem go their separate ways at the end of the anime.
Keeping that in mind, this card is set in a time where Kaiba nor Yugi have access to the Egyptian god cards. And yet, look at all the similarities between Chaos MAX and Obelisk the Tormentor, a God kaiba used for quite some time.
First of all this is the first ritual Blue eyes Kaiba has ever had, and Obelisk because of it being a God card also was a blue color.
