Think your vote doesn’t count?
Here’s a testimonial from tumblr user @ashikai on the importance of your vote in these primaries. It’s the latest I’ve heard in a string of cases of a candidate winning by a few, or one, votes. Your vote matters.
Ok, seriously tho. This was my first caucus ever and I cannot stress how important it is to show up! TWENTY PEOPLE showed up for my town, plus SEVEN absentee ballots, ok? That’s 27 people. The same size of a normal public school classroom (maybe a little smaller).
When it came time to vote, Bernie won, 22-5 with no undecideds and secured 2 delegates as a result. These aren’t massive numbers people; your vote can and DOES make the difference, especially on a small scale like this.
Primary Information
North Carolina - TUESDAY, MARCH 15
Early voting in North Carolina begins March 3 and ends on March 12. North Carolina has same-day registration during the early voting period, so even if you’re not yet registered to vote, you can still vote for Bernie! Get all your details here.
Still 17? THAT’S OKAY. As long as you’ll be 18 by the General Election (Nov 8), you can vote in the North Carolina primary!!
Florida - TUESDAY, MARCH 15
Ohio - TUESDAY, MARCH 15
Illinois - TUESDAY, MARCH 15
Illinois has same-day voter registration! More info here.
Only 17? That’s okay! If you’ll be 18 by the General Election (Nov 8), you CAN STILL VOTE in the Illinois Democratic Primary!Missouri - TUESDAY, MARCH 15
Missouri has open primaries, so you don’t have to be registered as a Democrat to vote! More general info.
PLEASE signal boost. Please go vote. Bernie needs us. Millennials overwhelmingly support Bernie Sanders. Millennials overwhelmingly don’t vote. Bernie has to win the nomination before he can win the presidency.
If millennials voted, he could and would win. Overwhelmingly, the states Bernie does well in, are states in which young people show up to vote. Have class? Talk to your professors. Most are going to understand. Have work? Look up your state’s laws, or check on vote.berniesanders.com to see if you can vote early. Let’s do this. #NotMeUs #Bernie2016

A polical science lesson for y’all:
- Bernie is not “falling behind” and we’re not “failing him”
- In fact, posts like those are MORE likely to discourage voters and kill his momentum than encourage them
- At this point in the race, it is NOT ABOUT THE DELEGATE COUNT, IT’S ABOUT MOMENTUM
- who has a lot of momentum right now?? BERNIE. He has done FAR BETTER THAN EXPECTED while Hillary has done much WORSE than expected
- like i said delegate counts don’t really matter much right now
- BUT just so everyone knows, as of 2/24 Bernie and Hillary are TIED
- They both have 51 delegates each
- lots of news sites are saying hillary has a huge lead on bernie with delegates because they are assuming the superdelegates are with her but that’s all just speculation Not. Fact.
- Super Tuesday (on March 1st) has a lot of southern states who will most likely favor Hillary but that’s ok because
- ALL DEMOCRATIC PRIMARIES AND CAUCUSES ARE PROPORTIONAL
- YOUR VOTE ABSOLUTELY HAS IMPACT
- even if hillary “wins” some states bernie will still get delegates and THAT’s what’s important!!!!
- YES get out there and vote because it’s Super Important I Cannot Stress That Enough
- but also know that it’s NOT doom and gloom, bernie ISN’T DOING BADLY AT ALL and we aren’t “failing him”
(via millenniumtechsupport)
people are saying bernie’s out of the race and i will not fucking stand for it
the main stream media sites and stations are trying to focus on the general election to remove the attention that bernie’s getting
they’re saying hillary’s got too much momentum, but who raised over $5,000,000 in one day? unless she gave a few more of her lovely speeches to corporations, it’s definitely not her
most of hillary’s big win states are out of the way now, bernie is favored in late march
and he’s got nothing but money and time now, more and more people will discover his message as their primaries/caucuses apporach
this race isn’t over
vote, donate, phone bank
bernie is depending on people like you

Unfortunately the numbers don’t lie, youth voter turn out is down since 2008. Young voters support Bernie Sanders in overwhelming numbers, 86-14 in New Hampshire. That is massive, even better than Obama. Still, we NEED TO VOTE. We NEED to stay ACTIVE and involved! This political revolution is to make OUR country a better place, we need to quit letting 65 year old voters decide the future of our country. PLEASE REGISTER TO VOTE IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE SO ALREADY! BERNIE SANDERS 2016!
REGISTER RIGHT HERE, DO IT TODAY, RIGHT NOW, DO NOT WAIT!

OK Tumblr,
i see a lot of reblogs for Bernie here but we have to make sure we’re taking actions to ensure he has a fighting chance in this arena. His opponents have the money and the media circus backing them but he has us, so let’s run it!
The primaries are elections held months before the ACTUAL presidential election that basically decide who the main candidates for each party will be, specifically, who will be listed on the ballot in the election in november. if we want Bernie to stand a chance at all he MUST be on the ballot in November. For that to become a reality we need everyone reading this to get them and their friends to vote in the Primaries! I’ve used the site www.voteforbernie.com to list the following info below so you can all see it easily enough and share it with just a click. Check your state below for the appropriate information on when and how to vote in the primaries!
