There are still two-thirds of the possible delegates available so it’s not even close to being over yet. A lot of people think voting in the primary doesn’t matter but this is where you determine the direction you want to party to go & if you prefer Bernie over Biden then here’s the following schedule for the primaries:
“Democrats abroad” primary - (March 3rd to March 10th) If you are a democrat living outside of the United States this is your time to cast your vote. [website]
In 2016, there was major flaws with in-person voting in states like Arizona. This election is exactly the same, with states like Texas and California having people in line waiting past midnight LONG after polls were supposed to close. This is blatant voter suppression and is meant to discourage you from voting. If you don’t have mail-in ballot in your state MAKE SURE to prepare for the worst: wear comfortable clothes, bring water, bring snacks, and get ready for whatever fuckery they might try to pull so bring an extra ID.
If you work on the day of your primary or caucus HERE IS A WEBSITE that allows you to check your state’s laws on time-off voting. This will tell you info on the following:
How long your job is required to give you?
What exceptions there might be?
Whether or not it’s paid time off.
If you have to give advance notice.
Do you need to show your employer proof of voting?
How to volunteer
You can also phone bank, text bank, or canvas for Bernie. Even if you’re in a state that already voted you can still do all these things! You ARE allowed to canvas out of your home state. Check your area, there are events happening everywhere or you can host your own. ALSO!!! volunteer as a poll worker if you can
AND!! if you’re fluent in multiple languages you can really help to get the vote out in communities that often get overlooked by campaigns.
ALRIGHTY EVERYONE if you are planning on voting in the primary tomorrow and all you upcoming primary states here’s what you need to know:
There will 100% be fuckery when it comes to closing polling sites unexpectedly or switching locations without notice. This already happened in other primaries this year and I live in AZ & we dealt with this in 2016 where it was taken to court AND FOUND TO BE LITERAL VOTER SUPPRESSION but nobody got in trouble and nothing was done.
So I’m just telling y’all who plan to vote EXPECT there to be shit that goes wrong because 👏🏽they 👏🏽don’t 👏🏽want 👏🏽you 👏🏽to 👏🏽vote. People in AZ were seriously waiting 8+ hours so if you’re going tomorrow make sure to bring water, dress for the weather in case lines are outside, and bring ID!! Some places will go smoothly, but it’s good to come prepared!
Also, your employer is legally required to allow you to go vote - I know all this doesn’t really mean shit at some places, and some of y’all literally can’t miss the work - but for those of you that can get that time off and go vote because anything’s better than being at work lol
Use Rideshare2Vote. I haven’t tried it, but it may or may not help you find someone to carpool you to the polls.
Also, pizza is nonpartisan. You can donate or report a long line to PizzaToThePolls and get them to send pizza over. It motivates people to stay in line or just give someone lunch.
And don’t forget, vote for your downballots. Local candidates can bring local changes and can have an up-ticket effect. Hunt for your Downballot candidates by checking out the nonpartisan Vote411 or find your voting county to request a sample ballot.

Lastly, these are voting rights organizations you can share around. After the primaries, volunteering at these organizations can help you fight voter suppression like poll closures.
League of Voters (@LWV) - They might have a local chapter nearby to join. You can volunteer without official membership at most chapters. Paying for membership can get you into leadership positions to decide pivotal organization choices.
Common Cause (@CommonCause) - This organization has been doing a lot of work fighting gerrymandering.
TN Black Voter Project (@TN_VoterProject) - A Tennessee org that turned in more than 90,000 voter registration applications and they’re now fighting a load of voter suppression by Republican bills criminalizing voting registration.
Move Texas(@MOVE_texas) - A nonpartisan grassroots in Texas that has mobilized youths to register to vote.
First off, this is not a political post. This is a scam awareness post. Hopefully people help spread the message, considering this is US Voter Registration Day according to today’s Google doodle. You also don’t have to spread this entire post to be helpful, just the two links at the end. I apologize it’s long, it could be as short as “don’t use TurboVote, they give your information to multiple partners who bolster their company value with it, FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST, IGNORE THE TWITTER NOTIFICATION YOU WILL RECEIVE.”
But I also don’t want it to appear as some low-effort grab for attention. This is the kind of thing that needs lots of proof and explanation. People are exploiting the current political environment to scam young Internet users into giving away swathes of personal information to access services that shouldn’t require anything more than a ZIP code.
This one is particularly bad.
Because it will affect millions.
This evening, I got an odd sponsored post on my Twitter feed. It appeared as so:
I’ve seen sponsored links like this before. A large corporation like Twitter would create expedited guides to help their users participate in their national elections, but would also collect this information for figuring out voter behavior and trends. These would then be offered to the political parties so they know where to focus their efforts better. It’s a pretty basic business.
But the thing that caught my attention was that upon following the link, I was immediately asked to fill out personal information.
The landing page takes you here:
“After all, we’re going to be friends.”
Somebody actually approved that copy. Because that’s not creepy or anything.
Already, they are asking for your first and last name. Note that online registration for voting is legal in 39 states, so the first check should be to confirm if the user is even able to utilize the service. Also, to help direct me to a verified site that would be able to process my voting application, it wouldn’t need to know my first or last name, it would just need to know what State I resided in.
The next page gets worse.
I cropped out a lot of text in between, but basically, the next page doesn’t waste any time asking for even more personal direct methods of contacting me. Probably for “special offers” and “updates” from sponsored candidates and action committees buying their way into my inbox.
They’ll surely ask for my State to get the actual process underway, yes?
Nope. Next page is just me confirming that I am a live and active recipient of their “services.” Note they already have my name and Email/phone number, so selecting “Yes” would automatically put me on their recipient list to be pestered. But what’s interesting is if you select “No/I’m Not Sure”…
Hey, there’s the State pull-down menu! But it’s with…ehh, a lot of very personal information that’s definitely not needed to verify if I’m eligible to vote, or to redirect me to an official government source to actually register.
Let’s put in some fake credentials. Note I’ve been using a browser with cleared cache and incognito mode, so it can’t siphon off my browsing history to circumvent my trickery. I am also using a VPN, so they can’t figure out my location either.
Now I’m very concerned.
So I’m not filling in an application at all. As speculated. I’m just giving a whole bunch of extraneous information, and after giving them my name, my phone number, my Email, my street address, and my current voting status, I’m simply provided with links to the actual government resources and registration page.
I’ll register online.
I get kicked back to the landing page. The link does not work. Everything I sent in just returns me to a “null” subdomain.
Alright so this is very suspicious. Who the heck even are these guys? Let’s check the privacy policy.
Confirmation that they do store all the information you sent them. However, they assure that it’s not sold.
They also claim that their partners do not sell the information either, and they are only given that information simply to perform the services they use.
Unfortunately…
What curious findings have we here?
Basically, the company is not going to delete its databases of user information if they’re purchased by another entity. Not even the entire company, just a “division or subsidiary” of the company, like the “database of their collected addresses and user names” division.
Don’t be fooled.
TurboVote is exploiting National Voter Registration Day to data mine you. They claim neither they nor their partners sell user information, but they do collect it, store it, and they will hand it over if an interested party decides to purchase it. Not TurboVote directly, but their “partners” will. They accumulate it, all the while saying they aren’t selling it, and what’s deceptive is they’re telling the truth, it’s not being sold. That is…until they put themselves up for sale, and use that gigantic address book to bolster their company value through the roof.
You don’t have to do this. They do not need your home address to relay you to your registration form. They don’t need to keep your information stored on file. They don’t need your name, your voting eligibility, your party affiliation…any of that information. DO NOT give your personal information to third-party “voter assistance” scams like this. It’s absolutely abhorrent that Twitter is sending mass notifications to people to use this data mining service, when there are plenty of simple non-committal websites already in existence to provide you the services you need.
And remember. Please vote. If you’re confused about ballot measures and local election information without the hyperbolic nonsense blasting out of the TV ads, and wish there was some sort of Ballot-type Wikipedia site out there, Ballotopedia is a fantastic source that lays out all the information you need for every ballot out there. Even you, Mr. Ezekiel Zebadiah Abraham of Muttonbutt County, Kentuckabama, they’ll even have comprehensive guides to help justify re-electing Officer Fuzzwhistle The Cat for his fifth term as mayor.
Again, I’m fully aware this is such a long post. Hopefully this helps you guys figure out how to get involved in the legislative process, and moreso, provides you the links necessary to give actual help to others without compromising their security. You don’t have to send them this post (please don’t, it’s gigantic), just the alternate site suggested at the end.
Thanks.
Hey, Twitter, this is how the Russians get their info.
When I first started watching 5D’s, one of the main aspects that stood out was how much anarchism was present in the series, so let’s talk a little about it, and I’ll headcannon about the main political views in the anime. I won go into TOO MUCH detail because I don’t think that fitting in to an exact spectrum is that important, but if you think any of this is incorrect, feel free to argue. Also if there’s any chance you didn’t watch it, please do, it’s not just card games on motorcycles.
In a general way, 5D’s is always shown state actors as an opressing force, where the police is only an agent of brutality, the upper classes maintain discrimination while the rest of people are more than happy to participate. Neo Domino City functions in a hierarchic, aristocratic logic, and since the series obviously criticizes this, I believe it shows a more anarchist point of view (as in hierarchies bad, free-associations good)
I think I shold go ahead and say: Satellite is Palestine. Almost a colony, people geographically maintained separate and opressed because who they are and where they’re from, with everyone around hating them and treating them like trash for this. City people are also actively trying to murder them, as shown by Goodwin’s plan. There might be other examples that fit the description, but that is the most famous one.
First of all is, of course, Yusei
Yusei is the anarchist hero we all wanted, but not really
While he does openly despises authority and searches to promote equality, Yusei, although reluctantly, agrees to work within the system to help change it, agreeing to work with Goodwin, which makes him a bit of a social-democrat in practice, but I think he’s more of a closet anarchist. All the way reformist.
(also a bit of an idiot because C’MON HE KIDNAPPED YOUR FRIENDS. AND YOU TRUST THAT GUY. HOW?)
Also one of the most beautiful elements in the series and in Yusei’s character is how willing he is to believe in people even if they are all out criminals. Not many other works, specially Western, are willing to show criminals as human beings deserving of dignity and equal treatment, and 5D’s does that without even questioning WHAT THEY DID
Pro-tip: when he talks about “there are no useless cards”, he also means people.
Yusei is our hero, yet he’s treated like trash simply because of where he came from. He than spends the entire first season fighting for people who are either imprisioned or discriminated by birth, and if that’s not awesome I don’t know what it is.
Next up is Crow
Crow has a Robin Hood sort of world view, Unlike Yusei,he actually grew up homeless. He also despises authority and is more than willing to practice illegal actions to help his kids.
I really think he would be a black block sort of a guy but that’s more of a headcannon. Honestly, I think Crow is a communist ((not a socialist tough) (oooh used a bad word). He also doesn’t believe in the state or authority, and he also wishes to end bring people to the same patamar, with the same opportunies, and probably doesn’t believe in private propriety. Revolutionary.
Jack is anarchocapitalist. Sorry, I know but hey, at least he’s cute.
Next up is KIRYU/KALIN. I really don’t know how to classify him,he also hates authority, but the way he behaves, hurting people who are weaker, I think he’s more of a warning of what people can do when they go off the rails. Aligns with anarchism but I don’t think it’s from a political viewpoint that he does, just as in that’s the way his hatred of the since surfaces.
AKI AND DIVINE are my greatest critics of this show. They are SCARECROWS
The Scarecrow Fallacy is when you steriotype something as the worst things someone imagines about it to make onlookers think is bad. Like saying all feminists are man hating, ill loved ugly women. That’s a scarecrow.
Aki and Divine are scarecrows as well as the product of lazy writing.
“Arcadia Moviment” talks all the time about spreading their ideology and world view but it never says WHAT ARE THEM. NEVER.
You know why?
1- lazy writers.
2 - Ideology is a BAD WORD. Ordinary people see it and think “oh it’s a BAD WORD. THEY’RE BAD PEOPLE”.But every single thing and thought in this world is ruled by an ideology, like neoliberalism, but since it’s the predominant one, you’re trained not to view as ideology, but as ‘the way the world works”. This keeps people from thinking too much and trying to classify their beliefs because that is IDEOLOGY and IDEOLOGY IS WROONG.
Yes, this is also how you can write a series with anarchists and not think they’re anarchist, because you don’t want to name thinks because it is a BAD NAME and you’re not supposed to think about it.
(Yes, this is also directed to anyone reading this.)
I’m gonna go ahead and say Z-ONE is a communist, but not dwell too much in it because this is a spoiler free post.
All in all, this anime holds a clear message against discrimination and xenophobia, and isn’t afraid of showing poor people or even criminals as PEOPLE. I’m only sorry that this changed so much in season 2. But still, a marvelous work. Arc V goes very much in the same direction, but I haven’t finished it yet, so i’ll talk about it later
So NOT surprised by this! We all knew that this one was rigged from the beginning. Millions of votes NOT being counted should make everyone in this country furious!
Tell me again why people don’t trust or believe HRC/DNC
So not just a hundred thousand after all? Debbie Wasserman-Schultz needs to be fired and then indicted.
At least 3 counties FLIPPED so far. LA county is said to have 2 to 1 voting for Bernie in uncounted ballots. And there is a lawsuit alleging voting FRAUD filed in Ohio for starters. More to come.
Reblogging for added comments
Holy fucking shit batman
Fuckin lol
“You have to vote because nothing will ever get better if you don’t!”
Sanders won Utah and Idaho by a big ass range. I’m saying Hillary only got 5 delegates in both if those states and Sanders got 24 and 17.
We can do this man. If ya keep voting he can win this election. Just keep voting man.
please at the very least reblog this
Two things here I wanted to comment. First, some people are saying Bernie can’t win anymore with Hillary’s lead. But most of her lead is super delegates who can switch at any point and usually do so according to the popular vote. Without those, Bernie is trailing with less than 300 delegates and more than 2200 up for grabs. So it’s definitely not over.
Second there’s a petition for the white house to look into voter fraud in arizona. Where tons of Bernie supporters were refused the right to vote based on their party affiliation being randomly changed. This really needs to be looked into.
Reblog
Bernie Sanders just won Alaska AND Washington. We gotta keep voting man. We have to keep going. Keep the energy going.
also spread the word about him since the mediae the media doesnt really cover him. and also people that are not really educated misunderstand his methods or assume the wrong things aka as people hating on him because he is a socialist
so the democratic party caucuses for Hawaii, Alaska and Washington state are ALL on Saturday, rather than Tuesdays like primaries. a LOT of younger voters get trapped in part-or-full-time jobs on the weekends and miss out on the voting (this is what happened in Nevada, where all the younger Bernie supporters were stuck working casino jobs on the weekend), so let me just remind everyone that your employer is legally obligated to give you enough time off to vote.If you want to vote in the caucuses, be it for Hillary or Bernie (I prefer Bernie but I won’t tell anyone who they should vote for, it’s your decision), you have a LEGAL RIGHT to do so. If your employer tries to tell you no, or give you hell for it, you can contact authorities on the matter, or if your employer has an anonymous report system (which most are required to), file a report with a district or regional manager (if you work for a larger corporation or company) that your manager is not allowing employees time off to vote. It’s a violation of federal law and I promise something WILL be done.
Shuttered polling places, endless lines, and widespread disenfranchisement—particularly for minority communities
Something was amiss in Arizona on Tuesday. As Hillary Clinton claimed victory in the state’s Democratic primary, thousands of voters were left out to dry, with shuttered polling places, endless lines, and widespread reports of disenfranchisement.
In Maricopa County, which includes the capital Phoenix, voters waited up to five hours to cast a ballot after the County Elections Office slashed the number of polling sites from 200 in 2012 to just 60 this year. As the state’s most populous county, this amounted to more than 20,000 voters for every available polling location.
As Sanders supporter Patti Serrano told the Phoenix New Times, “I think there’s voter suppression going on, and it is obviously targeting particular Democrats. Many working -class people don’t have the privilege to be able to stand in line for three hours.”
Ultimately, Clinton was credited with winning 57.8 percent of the vote to Sanders’ 39.8 percent. But more than have 36,000 people signed a White Housepetitioncalling on the Obama administration to investigate the voter fraud and suppression in Arizona.
Please support this petition. People don’t have to spend hours in line to vote. The results of Arizona Democratic primary are not accurate - lots of people had no possibility to vote. It’s inappropriate and it blocked Berine supporters from voting. The struggle is hard, but all Bernie’s victories were the product of our empathy and activism. Get in now! Sign the petition! Arizona, we need your votes!
Please, spread it!
For more information, this article is a good start. There were a lot of problems besides the outrageous voting lines.
The Arizona Democratic Party is now investigating the claims. How much you want to bet they’ll find nothing wrong?
With so much national pressure I hope you’re wrong, but this is the state that keeps letting Jackass Arpaio on the ballot … :S
same state keeps electing him.
I REALLY hope I’m wrong and that the national level is called in. They STILL need to investigate Massachusetts.
Ugh. Don’t look at me, I voted for the dude from Pinal County in the last election.
