Personally, I have no clue what this monster is supposed to be, but apparently its supposed to be a bullet shell of some sort??? Or at least like one. Idk, I’ve never seen this monster before now. So a flaming bullet shell with legs walks up to you. You scream and run away because who would stand next to a flaming bullet shell with legs. You probably make it away safely, because it only has 100 attack points.
Rating: 8/10, its nice artwork but idk what to say about this really.
wait is Espa Roba only called that because 4Kids, a major dubbing company that employed a team of professional translators, didn’t catch that エスパ “Esupa” was supposed to mean “Esper”
I love how Manjoume’s “”redemption arc”” is basically Judai yelling at him like “BRO YOU’RE A SLOB STOP BEING SUCH A PRETENTIOUS PRICK AND PUT YOUR STINKY EMO CLOAK BACK ON”
Well,
#1: It’s Yu-Gi-Oh. And Yu-Gi-Oh is love, Yu-Gi-Oh is life.
#2:
dat art and animation style tho
#3: so
many gorgeous characters, like literally there are just so
many good characters
#4: I
am in love with the way that nearly every single character is
presented as being neither entirely good nor entirely evil, but
morally gray. That they are allowed to make both good and bad
decisions and the consequences generally catch up to them one way or
another. That especially Yuya’s idealism is not forced onto the
viewer, but merely presented as it is and the viewer and other
characters get to choose whether or not to accept what Yuya is saying
rather that it just being accepted after a duel or two.
#5: It
feeds my inner need for all of the Yu-Gi-Oh series to live together
by adding so many references to previous series and putting all of
the summoning types in there and just making me feel happy because I
love all of the Yu-Gi-Oh series equally and Arc V feels like a happy
mixture of all of the previous series in some way shape or form
#6:
Two words: Yuya Sakaki.
#7:
all of it. I love it. It’s great. Arc V feeds my soul. If you are
following me and you haven’t seen Arc V yet please watch Arc V
Ok so I’ve been watching Yugioh GX subbed and it’s wonderful, but can we appreciate the fact that Manjoume/Chazz’s catchphrase is a pun in Japanese?
He keeps correcting people who call him “Manjoume” by telling them, “It’s Manjoume-’san’!” (or “It’s ‘the’ Chazz!”). And in Japanese, 「万城目さんだ!」 (”Manjoume-san da”) and 「万城目サンダー!」 (”Manjoume sandaa”) are pronounced the same.
So “It’s Manjoume-san!” and “Manjoume Thunder!” are basically the same thing. His freaking catchphrase is just him correcting how people address him, what a goddamn nerd.
Tyranno:
I resisted Saiou's brainwashing because one of my leg bones was replaced with a dinosaur bone and some dinosaur DNA mixed in with mine and so now I'm actually part dinosaur-don.
Me and Shou, simultaneously:
Okay...that sounds fake but okay...
Duel Monsters:
has a few likable, interesting, and fairly strong female characters but shoves them to the side in favor of the male ones.
GX:
has a total of two main female characters, one of whom starts off very strongly but is soon forgotten about so that the male characters can receive more screentime.
5D's:
starts off strongly with some great female characters, but they are all derailed towards the end of season 2 and the beginning of season 3 due to controversy with one of the voice actresses, in addition to the writer being replaced.
ARC-V:
has strong, amazing, wonderful female characters that get screentime equal to the male characters.
