So I’m doing some research on looking at the files in a PSP ISO to hopefully get back to that TFSP translation I started, hoping to translate the story, the duel dialogue, etc, and getting a feel for what files are what in the game. Reading a thread on GameFAQs for 5D’s TF4 where people were talking about undoing the censoring on Aki and Misty, trying to undub it, and things like that, and it’s helpful so far; making notes as needed. The big thing is trying to figure out how to read all these .ehp and .cip and .bin files to get text out of them, or trying to decode the audio…
I’d likely try to copy the translated card info omarrio worked on (and credit him somehow, obviously), but I’m also wondering if there’d be some way to copy over the Field Magic backgrounds in the other Tag Force games, which got thinned out of TFSP. Hmm…
For anyone interested, I’ve reposted and finalized my comparisons for 5D’s 1-10 over on my site, so if you wanna read up on how badly handled the first arc was, there ya go! I’ll be working on a few more over this week to get up to the Fortune Cup, as I work on finally being done editing GX 11′s script.
Hey, does anyone have a spliced-together picture of the pan in OZONE of all the Signers without text? I want to try adding it to the textless video I have, but I also want to add it to my site to show how the two pans are different. silivagalaxy posted this video a while back to show it in action, but I’d like the actual image to rework the pan with.
I’m not familiar with how tumblr handles resizing images. I’m also not familiar with stitching together images. It looks good to me, but I may have left a teeny bit of credits left in around here?
Awesome! I looked it up and down on imgur and it looks good to me; didn’t really notice any leftover credits. Thanks, Siliva! I don’t suppose you could do the same with the 66+ version, could you? If not, no worries, I can try whipping it up. I was going to work with the NW-Sartiend DVDRips, but are the CR rips better quality?
AGH I wanna work on 5D’s!DBZKai #3, but I can’t get the leftover original recap music out of the recap vocals so I can put D-Wheel Take Off there… I’m trying to use one of the other music tracks to try and isolate the vocals since they’re timed accurately (recreating what I did with that Teardrop post a while back in Audacity), but no luck. I could use some ideas if any good audio editors have ‘em, or a higher-quality AC3 file, I guess.
And Judai’s first heart event is out of the way! Trying to get a quick video up of the results using Fraps to record it; may work on getting a longer one later tomorrow. Need my sleep for ARC-V Sunday!
Also, thanks for the support a few of you guys dished out in that first photoset’s notes! And shoutout to all the new followers I’ve gotten recently. :)
So, it’s all done; I just have to do those minor edits I wanted to make before uploading it. Should be up by tonight.
In other news, omarrio over on XenoTranslations (the guy working on TFSP’s English patch) posted the original story dialogue, and it being my forte, I offered to help with the GX part. I’ll be trying to start it a bit this weekend, then get to prepping stuff for GX 8.
Also trying to get a better audio source for 5D’s!DBZKai #3; the music in the recap doesn’t want to go, while the rest of the audio has its music gone perfectly. I’m trying to do some noise removal, and I’ll try recreating Yamamoto’s recap song as it’s used there to see if it helps.
Doing some more editing for 5D’s!DBZ:Kai with episode 2, and DUDE. MIND GAMES WORKS SO WELL with that scene where Raditz talks about Planet Vegeta and the surviving Saiyans as he goes on to kick Goku in the stomach and grab Gohan
I have the big part of the song come in when Raditz notices Gohan, and have the ending part kick in just as the kick happens (no pun intended) and I’m diggin’ it lol.
Just a little update on the project, since I’ve been slowly working on this track for the last week, give or take thanks to work. I really could’ve sworn this song saw more airtime, but it surprisingly only played 15 times throughout GX! Which means it’s a bit hellish trying to get a few seconds here and there completely SFX-free, hence a few points where I’ve been inserting the vocal-removed version of its sample from 172 (which I used since it loops the first bridge/“verse”[/whatever lol] a few times [a part that some of the other uses skip or truncate). It’ll sound a bit better once it’s all done and I add some more reverb to that vocal-less track and move things around a bit, but here’s a taste!
I also kinda want to change the name I’m giving it; maybe “An All-Out Duel?” To fit how it’s used with Alice or Manjoume VS the SOL or Kenzan at a few spots (especially his Pair Duel with Judai and Asuka, and his duel with Sorano), and also how Tanya and Judai had that hand-to-hand duel lol.
And I’ve updated Contemplation to get rid of the SFX thanks to some more screwing around I didn’t try before lol. Minus a veeery slight hiccup towards the end, I think it sounds pretty good!
Heads-up: just updated the “Sprung Trap” track a bit to get rid of the remaining title-card music in the beginning; also replaced the parts with the grunts/draws/etc with some of the vocal-removed track.
Endless Dream (Ep. 180 Version) - In Memoriam of GX (Teaser)
All right, guys, this thing is finally done! I just finished briefly retiming/fixing up the credit subs to flow with the video, and this is a teaser of how the subbed version will look at the end of 180. I stopped it where I did because I didn’t want to spoil the rest until then. :P
From where the other clip’s post left off (some of which I replanned as I was going along haha), I have stuff from the Supreme King arc going on during the bridge while clips from Seasons 1-4 play around it, followed by clips from the Judai/Yubel duel’s ending surrounded by clips of each bad guy, which fade out as the shot of fireworks going off outside the Duel Academia from 179 comes into view.
That goes into everyone getting their diplomas in the chorus, with their determination clips from 178 (where Judai talks them out of Darkness’s World) in the corner, followed by Judai’s re-run-in with Yugi in 179 with clips from their duel in the corner. Then, shots of Judai in a pinch against the bad guys, which’ll go into his turnaround/finishing moves against them. The rest, you’ll have to wait for! I’ll put the textless version of this montage up for download on NAC when I post 180.
Enjoy! Hopefully, I got in a good chunk of the episodes (unlike 5D’s’ montage, which mostly covered 65+). I’ll be starting work on 179 this weekend; should be done by this time next week. :)
And it looks like I’m all done with it! Pretty pleased with how it looked in Vegas’s preview, so now I’ll just look at it tomorrow after it renders to make sure everything’s timed like I wanted it to be, and then I’ll post another preview clip or photoset from it with some details; I won’t post the entire thing just yet since I want it to be some kind of surprise. :P
