I swear to God, if Misawa gets a part (even just a cameo) in Arc V and he’s just used to make the same old, lame “Who’s Misawa?”/“Wait, you’re here, Misawa?” jokes, I am going to be so pissed off.
It’s painful seeing your favourite character reduced to a joke, especially this particular joke, because Misawa is clearly depressed thanks to the treatment he receives from the people who are meant to be his FRIENDS. Plus, in the episode (original Japanese version) where Manjoume converts Misawa to the Society of Light, it’s implied that he was considering suicide. Yeah. And the fandom still finds it hilarious.
As a person who has faced a similar situation (being ignored and forgotten by everyone, even your own friends), it really sucks to see both the fandom and the anime itself treating his situation as a hilarious gag when really it’s just sad and unfunny. (Thank God for the GX manga…)
I hope that if Arc V is ever graced with Misawa’s presence, he is treated as the intelligent, competent, amazing person that he is.
Sora’s English voice is fine and all, but I honestly did not like it when Sora was suppose to sound evil, like during his duels against Shay (Shun). In the original version, he sounded cute but menacing at the same time. In the English version, he just sounds too inappropriately sassy and did not give me the chills that the Japanese version gave.
I sincerely hope that the people who were carded can be saved. Michio, Hokuto, Olga and Halil are some of my favourite characters and I really hope we’ll see them again.
The thing I love about Yuya and Yuzu’s relationship is it can work platonically or romantically because of their bond and chemistry. And how they understand each other is really heartwarming.
Masamichi Kitada (Roget) is an incredible voice actor. I hope he gets more major roles in anime! He did way more stuff in tv series dubbing, but that’s hard to find/I don’t really watch it, but I love this guy’s acting skills.
I thought so when the synchro arc had just started, but episode 94 sealed it. Masamichi Kitada is very good at his job, and I’m glad they picked him for a big role. He basically made the character. And since it’s one of my favourites in the whole series, well. Thank you very much!
