Need me some meta analysis of Misawa’s character progression from “You might make a nice rival, #1-kun” to “what’s wrong with wanting your skills to be recognized?” that doesn’t boil down to “they didn’t know what to do with him or his cards so they made him a joke lol”

- #and as Ed put it 'the weakness of his heart' that Saiou was able to seize on
- #i mean maybe sure it does just boil down to lost potential with his rivalry with Judai
- #and Kenzan's and others' introduction in S2 reducing their ability to focus on him
- #so it's possibly occam's razor at play

- #i do think there'd be a bit of a linear progression there
