JC, aka GymLeaderLance99 or GLL99 or Lance99. 32|He/Him|NYC. I fansub GX, work on dub/sub comparisons for 5D's (and GX eventually), and have various other projects going. Expect a mix of YGO stuff (and a little ZeXal and SEVENS [which I'm slowly watching]), with some occasional randomness.Duel Links ID: 537-542-930 | Master Duel ID: 999-767-712

i hate when people try to introduce ygo gx to people and entice them to it by saying it ‘gets good at season three, you can skip to there’ like no you cannot. even if you supplement them with any context they may need no one’s going to fully enjoy a show that they have to watch from the middle with no context. the first two seasons are important parts of what makes gx so fun and unique even if their plots- in the minds of the majority- aren’t as interesting or tight as season three or four.

it’s not endearing a person to a show to basically tell them the first two seasons are worthless.

    • #the only time i did this was when I showed my early subs off at my high school anime club
    • #and that was because i'd be graduating soon
    • #i wanted to show off how different the show is in Japanese
    • #so I showed them most of Season 3 and then crammed 144-155 near the end of the year lmao
    • #seriously this
    • #you need to go through the motions and get invested in the characters
    • #that's what makes Seasons 3 and 4 so good
