This scene is so powerful. Shou cannot forget about Judai Yuki. It’s impossible. Because Judai has had such a powerful and positive impact on Shou’s life. He remembers when they first met, they were both each other’s first friend at Duel Academy. Judai taught Shou the ways of being respectful in dueling through his first duel with Kaiser, he taught him to not give up when things seemed hopeless, he taught him the meaning of teamwork in their tag team duel, and Shou learned how to stand up to those he loves. 

If Shou gave up on Judai, he’d be giving up on everything he’s learned from him. And Shou realizes that while he may not consider Judai to be his “Big Bro” anymore, he is still his best friend, and he loves him so much. He cannot abandon Judai when he needs him most.
