The fact that Judai doesn’t feel interested in dueling during the graduation duels until someone actively seeks him out is so telling
Duels are his favorite thing. This is the boy who got hyped up and excited for life-threatening duels with universal stakes. Not wanting to duel
He says he’s tired and wants to relax, which is… all just cover for his depression
He ends up dueling but even that he doesn’t do excitedly. He duels Sorano and is sure to keep up a smile but there’s something that isn’t there in a duel with a stranger that there is in say, his duel with Asuka
Shun, Yuto(at least till he went ghostly) and the rest of the Xyz dimension are probably severely malnourished and underweight, if not outright on the verge of starvation.
It’s clear that food and water, especially clean and edible food and water, is scarce. And they certainly won’t have anything fresh. And what food they do have is rationed between the survivors(at least in areas where groups work together, there are probably roaming bands of people just hoarding food for themselves).
And this has been happening for at least a year.
The only reason Shun’s had anything resembling a decent meal recently is because 1) he was under Reji’s ‘care’ in Standard, so he’s going to be treated as a guest and fed. 2) They were being fed while they participated in the Friendship Cup(as evidenced by Yugo stuffing his face during one scene). Which is not nearly enough time to make up for months of poor eating.
No wonder he can get hauled around like a sack of potatoes by people like Kaito and Yuto, he probably doesn’t weigh much at this point. At least, not what he should.
So everyone’s all concerned about how Yuya feels with not knowing where Yuzu is, but has anyone stopped to pay attention to Tsukikage? His partner and possible brother just died protecting everyone. How’s he feeling right now?
Misawa is basically telling him, “Judai, I know you feel terrible about killing all of those people because of you powers, but you need to go back to using them because you are the Supreme King, he’s not some other entity, you’re the same person. And we need your powers if we’re going to get out of this mess.” And I can see why Judai’s so afraid of these powers because of what he did with them before. Like, why would you want to go back to being a homicidal maniac? (I know that’s not what Misawa is implying, but that’s how Judai interprets it.) It sounds like the Supreme King’s powers are hard to control due to some of it stemming from his anger. He must also be fearful that he could lose control and go berserk once more.
Dark powers do not sound like a good thing either, but Judai seems to have completely forgotten about what Aqua Dolphin told him back in episode 62 on his powers of darkness being a force of good and righteousness. Judai probably forgot about them given that he barely used his dark powers when he fought against Saiou.
