Yugioh - Gyakutenno Megami
Gyakutenno Megami has an interesting history. She was a card used by Kaiba in the Sub version of Yugioh to jam a gun! The card’s Japanese name (Goddess of Reversal) was likely why she was used in this scene. Also, it spawned the retrain - “Goddess of Sweet Revenge” which has an effect that emulates that scene!
She also has several artworks including a Bandai version & 10th anniversary version. She also appears in the artwork “Aegis of Gaia”, and a Rush Duels counterpart, “Daigyakutenno Megami!”.
She also finally made her proper anime debut during the Rush Duels Anime!
She also has a counterpart - “Empress Judge” (lady with red hair!)
I always thought Gyakutenno Megami & Empress Judge were inspired by Art Noveau, in particular the artworks by Alphonse Mucha!
