Finally think I’ve satisfied myself with how this turned out, haha. This is a great song, and the second time we’ve had the Seiyuus/VAs in any YGO show perform a song (the first being KENN (Judai) performing “Wake Up Your Heart” in GX). Kensho Ono (Yuya) and Hosoya Yoshimasa (Reiji) deliver pretty well here–as good as Speaking is, this is still [just barely] my favorite ARC-V theme, lol.
(And if you want me to translate something, I’ve opened up to commissions, since the money can always help. Details here!)

UGHHH I LOVE THIS SONG
And this was fun to work on too; I love how relatable the song is (I’m the one who has to open up here, haha), and hopefully that comes through pretty well with these lyrics. I redid the lyrics used for the TV-Size version a bit, to update the rhyme scheme/word choices a bit lol. Use ‘em for whatever! :)
Itching to work on full!Trump Card, haha.

Quick, someone do one of these with the Action Duel prologue
“The Action Duel, born through the implementation of mass-wielding Solid Vision… These duels unite the field, the monsters, and their duelists, sweeping the spectators into a frenzy of wild excitement!”
Thank you, Microsoft Word! Thought I’d have to restart this from scratch, lol.
Dubbed Title: Making the Cut (Part 1)
Japanese Title: Heartland, City of the Future
US Adaptation: Barton Bishop, Matthew Drdek, Shane Guenego, Michael Haigney, Arthur “Sam” Murakami, John Touhey; Staff Writer: Roland Gonzalez
Animation Director: Akiko Toyoda
So with my laptop back up and running, I finally got back to finalizing these! Here’s 15′s, all reuploaded. And since I was just bored at work, I also finalizedeth the comparison I had writteneth for episode 16-eth! (Guess what got annoying there…) Also tackling some brief thoughts on Bella Hudson as Akiza, who thankfully sounds much better in about… 50 episodes. D:
Happy reading!
Just to clear something up re: Darkside of Dimensions’s 2nd trailer, as subbed by me:
So I’ve seen some people think that because of the line, “…and Yu-Gi-Oh! history will now be written anew,” there are going to be history-rewriting/time-traveling shenanigans. That line is really going more for “a new page will be written in Yu-Gi-Oh! history [on top of what’s already there];” I realize it’s my choice of wording to blame, lol.
I mean, we don’t know for sure if there will be or not at this point, but yeah, the trailer was just building hype there, not making the idea explicit. Sorry for the mix-up! XD;
Curious, does anyone know anything about Yu-Gi-Oh! card editing in After Effects? Essentially like how cards get edited into their dub format, except I’m using it to fix card errors in the Japanese version like I’ve done before. While I’m messing around in Paint.NET and Vegas to try and remember how I fixed the “two Mirror Forces” error in GX episode 5, I was told by @silivagalaxy that it would be easier to do in After Effects, and I’d like to learn how lol.

So, following up my post with the TV-Size version, I finally managed to get this uploaded from my laptop. I’ve been sitting on my translation for the song for a while and had been itching to try singing it out. I just really dig how positive this song is (may have channeled myself a bit in the translation, given how it resonates with me lol), and so I did just that a few weeks ago, then made a nice little AMV to go with it. Also hid a slight spoiler to make this more spoiler-free, though I know it’s been 10 episodes. :P
Hope you enjoy it! Feel free to give some constructive criticism, if anything haha.
Friendly reminder that I’ve done some singable translations for a bunch of ARC-V songs that can be used for whatever :) You can also check the “Song Translations!” link in the header on my blog’s page to see these, as well as other ones I’ve posted; I’ve done ones for pre-ARC-V songs as well as other random stuff that I’ll get around to posting/updating when able!

Friendly reminder that I have a nifty Subbed!GX Streaming Masterpost for all my subs that includes the updated/more accurate Season 3 translations you won’t find on other sites like Kissanime along with my finalized Season 1 translations
For those interested, I’ve added back my comparison for 5D’s episode 14! Not the best adapted episode, but at least it’s pretty to look at thanks to Haranimation.
Manjoume leaves the Duel Academia, and in attempting to find him, Judai discovers men from an animal testing lab deep in the forests around the Academia. He duels one of their “creations”, a monkey named SAL.
Here’s finalized!13 for you guys! Only one edit here this time: fixing the typo on “Super Animal Le[a]rning” as it’s displayed on-screen about 7-8 minutes in. Find it immortalized here.
Enjoy! Next up’s 14, which ought to be a shocking experience.
Wild Drive by Nagai Masato - Official PV
Not what I expected this song’s PV to be… but I’ll take it.
